Located in the serene neighborhood of Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State, Nigeria, The Lilygate Hotel offers a blend of luxury and comfort. Situated off Olubunmi Owa Street, this hotel is easily accessible and provides proximity to transportation, supermarkets, eateries, and other amenities, making it a comfortable home away from home.
Here’s an in-depth look at what makes The Lilygate Hotel a noteworthy destination.
First Impressions and Ambiance
The amber glow of the nightingale lampshades that cocoon the elegant exterior of the hotel adds a very romantic essence to one's stay. Once you walk in, you are greeted by a 30-foot bronze African statue- a striking and powerful imagery that highlights the ferocity of the Nigerian culture. What adds to the picturesque imagery is a bronzed and gold spiraled staircase. Absolutely breathtaking!
The hotel was truly built with passion, and you can feel it as you walk in. The rooms are carefully crafted, showing that loads of thoughts went into it.

While some guests found the rooms a little smaller than expected, they were still comfortable. Some rooms offer a city view, adding to the overall experience.
Dining Experience
The Lilygate Hotel boasts a restaurant and a terrace bar/lounge. It has free wifi access all over the property and also have 01 Restaurant, 01 Terrace Bar/lounge bar with exclusive selections of multi cuisine culinary displays and international wines & spirits selection.
The hotel offered a variety of international inspired items to choose from, ranging from some delicious pancakes with a special batter, chicken sausages, egg sauce, beans, rice, stew, an assortment of proteins... the list goes on and on! The breakfast buffet is diverse, although some guests suggested adding more fruit options. The food can be delivered to guest accommodation.
The Sunday brunch, open from 12 noon to 4pm every Sunday, is a highlight, featuring a variety of options and live music. The Lilygate hotel offers an all-you-can-eat buffet. Another selling point of this offer for me was the unlimited champagne and chapman. The temperature and taste of the foods should be a priority.
For dinner, chicken wings and barbeque fish are excellent choices.

Staff and Customer Service
Many guests have praised the staff for being polite, cordial, attentive, and helpful. From day one I found all your staff, from the reception/porters/restaurant /kitchen and housekeeping teams to be exceptionally professional, friendly and customer focused. Every request/question I had was greeted with a smile and no request was too much trouble for anyone, and to be greeted by your name everywhere is very pleasing.

A special mention to the following front desk staff - Chinyere, Anne, Praise, Precious and Happiness who were all very helpful throughout. Ikechukwu imorji, gave an Exceptional service, very polite host, always concerned about helping. The manager is a lady named Chineri (sp) who was very pleasant and promptly attended to all requests.
However, some guests have reported issues with customer service, citing instances of slow service, unavailability of ordered items, and unhelpful staff. The chief one being the rude unhelpful surly reception/house keeping manager who should really never be allowed near customers. Has zero idea on customer service and how to help. Her mission seems to be to make a slightly bad situation escalate until you just want to leave!
