Itinerary Highlights:

  • Cape Town: Start at the very top with a cable car ride up Table Mountain, followed by a city tour of Cape Town so you can navigate your way around this coastal city.

  • Victoria Falls: Next we're off for a hike along the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders and ...
  • Chobe National Park: wake up to watch the sunrise over the African bush with a light breakfast, before departing on a morning game drive to hopefully see some of the wildlife we may have heard the night before.

Planning Your Trip

Best Time to Visit

South Africa has something to offer all year round. May - September is the best time to visit if you’re here for the safaris. These are the South African winter months, so you’re more likely to spot wildlife congregating around the watering holes (and the weather will be less intense too.)

  • May - September: Best for safaris.
  • November - March: For the festivals.
  • September - October: For whale watching.
  • June - August: If you’re traveling on a budget.

Visa Requirements

Your visa requirements can change according to your citizenship. Check out our handy guide to visas for all the info. In some cases, your visa is free and you can collect it when you arrive in South Africa. In others, if you’re traveling from New Zealand for example, you’ll need to arrange your visa ahead of time.
