Health Issues of Chad Gilbert and Concerns About Aaron Rand

This article delves into the health challenges faced by Chad Gilbert, guitarist for New Found Glory, and addresses concerns surrounding the well-being of Aaron Rand from 'Bad Chad Customs'.

Chad Gilbert's Health Journey

As some of you might recall, New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert revealed a particularly scary health diagnosis late last year, specifically, a rare type of adrenal gland tumor called pheochromocytoma.

The band were back out on the road hard and heavy throughout the course of this summer for the Sticks & Stones 20th anniversary tour. Our own Chris Tracy was at the Denver show and grabbed the above photo of Gilbert in action! Anyway, as tour went on, Gilbert started experiencing back pain.

Dear friends! Was having really intense bad back pain on tour (which can happen from jumping around carrying a heavy guitar). I flew home early for an MRI. Unfortunately we found a new Pheochromocytoma tumor in the 12th vertebrae of my spine pinching on my nerve bad. I’ll be headed into surgery tomorrow to get almost all of it out then hit what’s left with some fancy radiation. Scary stuff but it’s all about the little wins. Each day we’ve been having fun in the hospital and feel lucky with so many things and God’s timing with all of this. If I didn’t go on tour and inflame my tumor, I wouldn’t have known early enough it was there! Then my band’s love and support got me home to get scanned. Knowing me, if pain is making me not play a show, it’s bad.

We also discovered I have some very tiny nodules on my lungs but my amazing team feel very confident that it’s manageable and at an early stage compared to where I was last time. My vitals and heart are great this time. Moving forward with today’s amazing technology, I can be on a lifelong treatment that just keeps it all at bay. Like living with an illness but it’s not life-threatening. I no longer have to guess if it will return and can just relax. So I ask for all the prayers, hopes, fingers crossed, or whatever you do for people you care about in times like these. Hoping to be home recovering Friday or Saturday!

Concerns Regarding Aaron Rand of 'Bad Chad Customs'

There's a unique connection that audiences feel with the personalities they see on their television screens. There's a sense of camaraderie that's built, almost, when week in and week out you see the same folks getting themselves in sticky situations while striving to survive in whatever discipline they're working in. Which is why so many people are asking what happened to Aaron on Bad Chad Customs.

Fans of the show who've seen Aaron on the program are worried about his physical appearance and believe that the reality TV personality and builder could be ill. None of the show's costars or Aaron's co-workers have posted anything online either, so if Aaron is going through a rough patch, no one is talking about it.

Aaron Rand is a super talented builder for Hiltz Auto. Chad Hiltz, the star of Bad Chad Customs who's got a penchant for creating impossibly gorgeous and unique whips out of extremely humble materials, works with his longtime friend Aaron Rand, his wife Jolene MacIntyre, his son Chad, his pal Alex Gould, and others.

Although Aaron isn't the most active poster to social media, the man has shown off some of his handiwork in leather, steel wood, and a ton of other mediums on his Instagram account. The builder / maker is also the co-owner of Up Country Builders and Up Country Builders Apparel. His IG primarily shows off the material work he's accomplished, from upholstery work on various automobiles, to leather goods, cabinets, wooden doors, dressers, and countertops. There really isn't anything that Aaron can't make.

Viewers of the program are drawn to not only her technical know-how but her decision-making abilities, and the great personal and business chemistry between her and Chad is something that viewers have been impressed with since her first appearance on the program.

Bad Chad Customs fills a void that's been left by shows like Monster Garage and Pimp My Ride that have been taken off the air. While Chad's whips are much different, there's still that spirit of experimentation and a willingness to do things that no other mechanic is able to pull off. Are you a fan of Chad Hiltz's work and will you be tuning in? Not 4 me.... but I guess it’s better than trashing the parts.... TV makes a lot of people famous or infamous as the case may be.

I hope they save some $$$ for when the bubble bursts. I've only seen a few episodes as I no longer have DirecTV. (First thing to go, when I got laid off). Some of the cars are not my thing, this one is. But the jest of the show is he builds on limited budgets, finds what he needs locally (which I****ume can't be easy in rural Canada) and fabs what he can't find or afford. Looking at old pics of Hines builds, the technique is very similar. Maybe a pickup truck axle?

I'm a fan of different stuff and I respect people who can fabricate things, especially on a budget. I'm sure you all noticed that he ain't wearin' a gold chain (even though his net worth is enormous). I haven't watched that episode, but from the pictures I've seen in this thread I dig that car, especially the top and the windshield posts. I would drive that all over God's green earth if it was mine, smiling in the face of every head shaking***** in a perfect car that was built by the "rules". While I think some of his builds are not well designed, some are decent. When I look back at many of the "customs" from the 50/60s, I see now a lot of amatuerish stuff......yet back then I thought it was fantastic.

If you think about it, he is more of a rodder than many of us today. He is building cheap cars with parts he scrounges from everywhere......just like they did in the fifties. He doesn't wait for the FedX truck to bring it. What's more .......he is living his dream and making a living doing it. So while I don't always like what he creates, I admire the fact that he seems like a genuine "nice guy" with more talent than me and less tools than I have. He would have been a perfect fit in the hot rod culture of the fifties. I give him credit for doing what he does, and having a show to show it. But, not a fan of most of his builds. There have been some i liked, like the Bike build, except the bars came back too far. That Pinto deal was a hot mess! haha I get a kick out of hearing him just talk. The, "Look at my 200k, shop built, Pro Turing"***** gets old. He reminds me of some of the young builders who built Hotrods out of whatever they could find at the swapmeets, back in the 90's.

I won't bash him, cause he loves what he's doing, like it or not. I remember a few builds i've seen on here, like the******** who widend his Merc to fit the Caprice chassis! There was a fellow on here from Nova Scotia building a 46 Ford taildragger coupe a couple years back. Bad health issues, and limited budget. I think Chad's shop was where the car show that was a big deal in that thread was held, and I also think Chad punched his hood louvers in his home-made press. Anyone remember that thread? I like him. I think he works hard on his hot rods. To be honest I really don’t know how he does it, nor do I want to. Sure he’s a little eccentric, aren’t we all? I like his style, kinda reminds me of Lance Sorchiks drawings only in 1:1 scale. I’m not saying I agree or disagree, as others have stated to each their own. yep you keep thinking that...

I really have to question the net worth stated below. If he truly is worth this kind of money it makes him look like a tight wad who won't spend on basic tools and equipment. He has only been on the***** tube a couple of years. No other car show has made that kind of cash in a couple of years. From Mr. What is Chad Hiltz's net worth? Since the show's only in its second season, it's hard to imagine that the personalities on the show are going to be making tons of money each episode. But, because Chad's been running a bonafide business that's been earning him a lot of cash per project over the years, there are some sites that report he's got himself a solid $1 million net worth...

I'm the guy who's always looking in the background, whether it be old pics or tv show stuff. You might want to look at what they try not to show, the episode over the car show tells a lot, the walls of his shop speak volumes, the few shots of his house tell me that this is a guy who squeaks by on meager means, trying to accomplish his goals. Good on him, I suspect that discovery found him, thought he would make entertaining show material, and ran with it. The same as Rust Valley, just some broke guys that are entertaining, the show tries to make the viewer believe all the connections these guys have are all in the same area, but in reality, they are spread all across BC, but, the show would have you believe they are all in the same locale. I'm not a fan of his work, but kudos to anyone who can further themselves in life as he is doing, when opportunities present themselves, a fool turns them down. These reality show stars are, well fake.

Eustis on Mountain Men who professes to need $20,000 for a land payment and sells lumber and firewood to get it is in reality a millionaire. The Alaskan Bush People. Go to Alaska where they last lived and ask the local residents what they were like. They stayed at the lodge in town and only went out to their property to shoot scenes. They were not well liked in Hoona by the locals. Somewhere, I bet, Mr.

Well... at least his show isn't saturated with all that made up fake-ass drama that shows like the clowns at Gas Monkey garage and that dude that wears a diaper on his head and never changes clothes on Counting Cars. TV shows i.e.
