Historical Significance
This very village was visited by Dr. David Livingstone. Since the Chief perceived David Livingstone as a non-believer, he was prohibited from entering the chief’s residence. Two men from this village, who were long-time employees of David Livingstone, transported his remains to the coast post his death near Lake Bangweulu.
