As we approach Spring, it's essential to keep your skin moisturized. Body oils are a great alternative to lotions, and the Moroccanoil Dry Body Oil is a fantastic option.
If you haven't heard of Moroccanoil, it's a brand that has significantly influenced the hair oil market. I'm such a big fan that I have previously written about different members of the Moroccanoil family.
Today we're diving into a comprehensive review of the Moroccanoil Dry Body Oil and the Brumes du Maroc Hair & Body Fragrance Mist. Let's explore the key features, ingredients, and overall experience of these products.
Moroccanoil Dry Body Oil
I was so obsessed with the Shimmering Body Oil, in fact, that I was inspired to grab the Dry Body Oil the next time I was shopping at Sephora. This comes in the form of a spray bottle with a pull-off cap, and while this does come out with a bit of a spritzing action, it still is a bit of a runny oil. The bottle is clear, so it's obvious how much/how little is still left in the glass bottle, and I find about ten pumps to work quite nicely for my torso and arms, and about the same for my legs.
Key Ingredients and Benefits
This has that signature scent of amber and sweet florals that is so familiar, when it comes to Moroccanoil, and for a blend of oils, this is surprisingly light on the skin.

It is made up of a mix of:
- Argan Oil: Helps hydrate and nurture the skin while improving texture and tone.
- Olive Oil: Moisturizes and protects the skin.
- Avocado Oil: Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and essential fatty acids, aiding the skin's natural defenses and restoring moisture.
It feels like it does all of the above, while also being really quick and easy to absorb. My skin ends up feeling really smooth and gorgeous and I love the light accompanying scent too!
Overall, it is a gorgeous oil that I would recommend to just about anyone who is looking for a fast drying, delicious body oil that doesn't leave your skin feeling tacky.

I'm someone who has used and loved Moroccanoil products for years, and no one is more excited than me for the brand's newest launch-a fine fragrance version of the brand's iconic scent. TBH, I feel like I manifested it. The brand's Treatment Hair Oil ($48) is a staple in my curly hair routine, and any time I would use it, I found myself wishing for a perfume with the brand's exact citrusy, floral scent. The universe said, "Wish no more-I've got you."The fragrance is everything I'd hoped it would be and more: clean, luxurious, sophisticated, and downright delicious smelling. It isn't always easy to create an elevated fragrance out of a haircare-product scent, but the brand truly aced it. If you want to snag one for yourself, act fast. This fragrance is such a hit it's bound to sell out. For all my favorite things about it, keep scrolling.

Fragrance Notes
Key notes: lemon, violet, camellia, white sandalwood, musk, muguet, amber, velvet woods, vanilla
My usual scent MO is gourmand. I love a sweet, juicy, fruity, and floral fragrance any day, but occasionally, I do branch out. This one has a lot of variety in the notes, making it slightly hard to place, but it definitely feels more like a warm floral scent to me. Upon first spritz, you definitely get the notes of camellia, lemon, and amber, but as it develops, it dries down into something super exotic. To me, it smells like a low-key and unique fragrance you'd find at a local market in East Asia-exactly the vibe the brand was probably going for. I've tried many scents at this point in my beauty-writing career, but this has to be one of my favorites. There's a subtly to it, but it's also uplifting, fresh, floral, and a bit juicy with the top note of lemon.

While I know $98 isn't exactly cheap for a two-ounce bottle, I will say that this smells like it should be a lot more expensive. I love a luxury scent more than anyone-I may shed a tear or two when it comes to purchasing them, but I'm not opposed to spending money on a scent I truly love. Though, it's nice to know that this particular bottle doesn't, in fact, cost half my monthly rent. Overall, if you're looking for a unique scent that's airy and smells lightly floral and zesty, this is the one. I've noticed that some brands tend to go overboard when making a fragrance version of their signature scents and end up with something too strong, but this one is perfect. It's present and leaves an impression, but it doesn't overwhelm you at all, which I'm sure people with sensitive noses will appreciate.
Complete Your Routine
Luckily, Moroccanoil infuses all of its products with its iconic scent, so you can double (or triple!) up on the scent.
Here are some additional Moroccanoil products to enhance your routine:
- Shower Gel: Complete your shower routine with this luxe cleansing gel.
- Deep-Conditioning Mask: Perfect for thick, dry, curly hair.
- Luminous Hairspray: It does contain silicones, so it doesn't work well for everyday wear in my case, but it does provide so much shine, hydration, and definition.
