Erica Armah-Bra Bulu Tandoh (born December 12, 2007), known by her stage name DJ Switch, is a young Ghanaian female disc jockey who has captured the hearts of many with her incredible talent and inspiring story. She is a multi-talented entertainer who can also sing, rap, and dance.
Early Life and Education
DJ Switch is the second child and the only girl among five siblings. She hails from Dadieso in the Western North Region of Ghana and attends Talented Royals International School at Weija in Accra.
Career Beginnings
Her career took off when she was seven years of age. She says she is adept at switching people's moods from sad to happy, hence the name DJ Switch. Erica’s biggest breakthrough came when she emerged winner of the 8th edition of TV3’s children’s reality show, Talented Kidz.
Throughout the various stages of the competition which lasted for 13 long weeks, DJ Switch didn’t cease to thrill her viewers with performances that were unbelievable for a girl of her age. Erica’s confidence and dexterity in DJing are actually like no other.
At the grand finale of the Talented Kidz Season 8, which was held at the Ghana National Theatre, the little Disc Jockey once again wowed the audience with such an energetic and vibrant performance that saw everyone gaily chanting and dancing along. For this outstanding feat, the young DJ pocketed a cash prize of GH¢10,000, educational fund of GH¢6,000 as well as other products and souvenirs from sponsors.

After her victory at the competition, her coach DJ Black, a popular multiple awards winning Ghanaian Disc Jockey disclosed that Erica could emerge the best DJ in the world if given all the support she needs. According to DJ Black, the 9-year-old has a bright future as she is sharp and eager to learn.
Achievements and Recognition
In June 2018, Erica became the youngest person to win Ghana's annual DJ award. In 2019 Roc Nation, Jay-Z's entertainment company, acknowledged her skills and featured her on their social media for Black History Month. In 2020 she was listed among Top 100 child prodigies from all around the world and grabbed Global child Prodigy Awards in the DJ category.
She is a multi talented entertainer who can also sing, rap, dance and host TV shows. She currently hosts Talented Kidz program on TV3.

International Performances
In September 2018, she opened the Bill and Melinda Gates' Foundation's annual Goalkeepers event in New York City, as the warm up act to French President Emmanuel Macron. In May 2019, she was in New York to perform at the NGO ''Room to Read''s gala with Wyclef Jean also on the bill. In June 2019, she performed at the World Bank Africa Society Symposium at the World Bank office in Washington. She performed at the 32nd Ordinary Session of the AU Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2019.
Philanthropy and Future Aspirations
After DJ Switch won the TV3 Talent Kidz 2018, she was interviewed by many media houses and she kept repeating she would like to use some of the monies she gets from playing at events and her DJ Switch Foundation to support the less privileged in society. The donations were received by the DCE Hon. Aba Hagan of Abora Asebu Kwanman Kese on behalf of the school. Her dream is to be a gynecologist, so she can enhance the process of childbirth for women in her community.

She recently founded The DJ Switch Foundation, advocating for quality education, adequate health care, gender equality and sustainable development.
The Goalkeepers initiative, launched in September 2017, uses stories, data and partnerships to highlight progress towards the Goals, hold governments accountable and foster new leadership. The initiative tracks progress using the following indicators: poverty, stunting, agriculture, maternal mortality, under-five mortality, neonatal mortality, HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, family planning, universal health coverage, smoking, vaccines, education, gender equality, sanitation, and financial services for the poor.
