The access to Eleko beach is controlled by area boys who are asking for a standard fee of 500 naira per person (visitors). There is’t a lot of activity going on. At the entrance, you will be told It is N500 ($3/2GBP) and an additional N500 for your car, making it a total of N1000 (4GBP/$5). When you get inside, area boys will still ask you to pay them for parking your car and ‘watching’ over it.
You can find people selling things from jewellery, woven baskets to drinks. On the beach front you have various beach huts that you can rent for the day, and I suppose the prices vary depending on size, location and other reasons. The beach huts just have deck chairs and tables in them.

A small group of guys follow us to the beach to collect coconuts for us. They actually went and climbed the palms along the beach to collect a couple for us. Then they chopped it up with a cutlass and passed it over. And It Was Delicious. I then took a short stroll up the beach, picking shells. There were plenty! And found a big old oyster clam shell.
