Early Life and High School Career

During his prep senior year at Logan (Utah) High School, Chad Woods Jr. earned Utah Class 4A first-team all-state honors at wide receiver from the Deseret News and second-team all-state honors from the Salt Lake Tribune. He caught 50 passes for 909 yards (18.2 ypc/82.6 ypg) with 14 touchdowns.

He also returned 11 kickoffs for 274 yards (24.9 ypr) and 12 punts for 193 yards (16.1 ypr). With his 14 touchdown receptions and a two-point conversion, he led the Grizzlies in scoring with 7.8 points per game.

Woods had four 100-yard receiving games, including a career-best 211 yards on six receptions against Bear River HS. He also had:

  • Five receptions for 107 yards with a career-high three touchdowns against Bountiful HS.
  • Five receptions for 124 yards with two touchdowns against Ogden HS.
  • Six receptions for 167 yards with two touchdowns against Hurricane HS.

In 2016 (RS-FR), Chad Woods Jr. played in nine games during the season. His only stats on the year came against Weber State (9/1) as he had one reception for zero yards.

In 2018, he missed the first game after a preseason injury but played in 11 contests, starting nine. He finished third on the team with 24 receptions for 355 yards and also ranked second on the squad with five receiving touchdowns.

At San Diego State, he turned in his second 100-yard receiving day as a Rebel with exactly 100 yards on four catches in a win that Included a career-long 77-yard catch. His best three-game stretch came at midseason as he collected a total of 13 catches for 165 yards and four scores.

In 2016, Woods earned his first letter as a Rebel by starting the first five games. He suffered a season-ending injury vs. Fresno State on Oct. 1 but still ranked fourth on the team with 13 receptions and third with 189 yards in his debut season. He scored his first touchdown as a Rebel on a 13-yard pass from Johnny Stanton at Central Michigan on Sept.

Professional Career

Michael Woods II (born March 19, 2000), often referred to as Michael Woods, is an American professional football wide receiver. He played college football at Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Woods was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. On December 7, 2024 Browns sign WR Kadarius Toney and WR Michael Woods II. Browns placed CB Martin Emerson Jr. on injured reserve.
