Remembering Chad Young: A Celebration of Life

This article commemorates the lives of two individuals named Chad Young, celebrating their unique contributions and the impact they had on those around them.

Chad Young (1981-2024) of St. Johnsbury

St. Chad was born in Hanover, NH, on September 27, 1981, and was a lifelong resident.

St. Johnsbury Academy

He was raised and educated in St. Johnsbury, graduating from the Academy in 2002.

A Life Filled with Joy and Friendship

Chad was a joker and liked to knock things over and make noise.

He enjoyed going on car rides with the family, especially taking along his niece and nephew.

Trips to Fryeburg Fair, Canobie Lake Park, truck pulls at any fairgrounds, and camping in the summer were always big hits.

He liked going to Riverside Life Enrichment Center, and one of his favorites there was Shayanne, but he had many, many friends there.

Survivors include his mother, Lois Young, and step-father, Walter Seligman, both of St. Johnsbury; his sister: Alyssa Young of Franklin, NH; 2 brothers: Elvis Stuart (Lisa Spinner) and Patrick Young (Megan) all of St.

He was predeceased by a brother: Chavis Young in 1991 and his maternal grandparents: Donald Young, Sr.

Memorial Service

Services will be held at 12Noon on Saturday March 23rd at the First Congregational Church of St. Johnsbury Center, 1869 Breezy Hill Road with the Rev. Dr.

Friends may call on the family for memorial visitation at the church from 10AM until the hour of service.

Chad Young (1966-2024) of Iowa

Chad was born on February 22, 1966, in Keokuk, Iowa.

He was the son of Bill and Joan (Young) Hayden.

Chad grew up in Kahoka, Missouri, and later moved to Iowa.

In December 2004, Chad married the love of his life, Lynn Peterson.

Family and Career

He married Bobbi Daniels (Marshall) in 1988 and had three daughters: Amber, Stephanie, and Emilee.

They divorced in 1997.

Chad was a hardworking man, and always seemed to stay busy.

He enjoyed scrapping and was known as “Master Scrapper”.

Interests and Legacy

He enjoyed watching anything with John Wayne and shows like Bonanza, My Cousin Vinny, and any sports team that is from Missouri.

Chad had the biggest heart and would help anyone who needed it.

In honor of Chad’s wishes, he continued to help others through the gift of organ donation.
