Among the organizations providing assistance, World Central Kitchen (WCK) has been on the ground, offering crucial support to those affected. Here's a closer look at their efforts and how other groups are contributing.
World Central Kitchen's Immediate Response
Among the most desperate needs for survivors are medical care, shelter, and food. The latter is where World Central Kitchen comes in. World Central Kitchen, founded by Chef Jose Andres, arrived in Morocco within 48 hours of the earthquake. So far, they have distributed about 1,200 meals, many of them near the epicenter of the quake. The group has helped with more than a dozen evacuations.

Samantha Power, administrator for USAID, stated, "This funding will help organizations on the ground provide emergency food assistance, health services, shelter, and mental health and psychosocial resources to assist the Moroccan-led response."
- CARE and Global Citizen: Moroccan American rapper French Montana announced he's teaming up with humanitarian organizations CARE and Global Citizen to provide aid to those affected by the earthquake.
