Faced with changes in the Moroccan health care system, it becomes imperative to develop advanced nursing practice and to establish new regulations for the implementation of advanced nursing roles.
Current State of Advanced Nursing Practice in Morocco
This research study explored the current state of advanced nursing practices in Morocco and evaluated the knowledge of nurses on this subject. The data analysis revealed that some nurses are not familiar with the concept of advanced nursing but show an interest in this field.
There is growing interest among Moroccan nurses for advanced practice nursing education. This highlights the need for master’s-level training and advanced practice nursing clinical skill acquisition, which is essential for advanced practice.

Social Accountability in Nursing Education During COVID-19 Pandemic
In December 2019, a new disease, COVID -19, emerged in Wuhan, China. The study revealed that COVID-19 has impacted the activities of ISPITS-M, especially in the education component.
The present study concerned the Higher Institute of Nursing and Technical Health Professions of Marrakech (ISPITS-M) and its region (Essaouira and Safi), which was conducted between May 17 and June 4, 2020, following a mixed methodology. The studies are organized in three cycles (professional license, master’s, and doctorate).

The study revealed an average level of knowledge of the concept of SA. The themes were related to the perception, definition and knowledge of SA, and the management of the COVID-19 crisis by the Institute. The mean age was 40.2±8.9 years for the teachers and 19.7 ±1.3 years for the students (Table 1).

The study revealed an average level of knowledge of the concept of SA. The study revealed that COVID-19 has impacted the activities of ISPITS-M, especially in the education component. The knowledge of SA was average: 36% of students had no knowledge of the concept of SA.
The adoption of distance learning, required the commitment of resources, including platforms, adequate preparation and the appropriation of specific skills. 34% of the teachers and 20% of the students expressed that the anticipation and response to their expectations was unsatisfactory (P= 0.001).

Global Nursing Education and Licensing
- Australia: Requires a three-year Bachelor of Nursing degree.
- Japan: Requires basic nursing education through a 4-year college/university, 3-year junior college, or 3-year training school, and nurses must pass a national licensing exam.
- Zimbabwe: Applicants for nurse training at government hospitals must pass the required minimum of five Ordinary Level exams in one sitting and be between 18 and 30 years old.
- Israel: Nursing license applicants must complete theoretical and clinical nursing studies, study Israeli laws and regulations, the Israeli health system and states of emergency and trauma through a hospital mentorship, and take professional CPR and Measurement Conversion courses.
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing created the Resource Manual on the Licensure of Internationally Educated Nurses to provide a detailed guide for state boards of nursing to use for uniform licensure requirements. They must also pass the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN exam and an English proficiency exam and obtain a work visa to receive a nursing license.
