The Miss Egypt (Arabic: ملكة جمال مصر) pageant is a national beauty competition in Egypt. The first contest took place in 1927. In 2002, the coronation party for Miss Egypt Universe was held around the pool of Conrad Hotel on July 15, starting at 9:30 PM. The event included press coverage and interviews with the newly crowned Miss Egypt Universe, Horreya Farghally.

Speeches and Gratitude
The event commenced with a speech by Youssef, who thanked the sponsors and Conrad Hotel for hosting the event. Special recognition was given to Mahmoud Haridy, the crown designer. Andre Abou-Charaa followed with a speech, thanking Karim EL-Tonasy for the opening dance and wishing the contestants success.
Andre then introduced the new Miss Egypt Universe, Horreya Farghally. Horreya expressed her gratitude, saying:
"Thank You, I'm so glad for all of your support that I got from all of you. I'm really proud to be Miss Egypt Universe 2002/2003 as much as I'm proud that I'll work in many charity fields starting with Abou El-Rish Hospital and I would like to invite all of you to participate in this great mission and all our efforts will help us to have healthy generations."

The first runner-up, Nour El-Samry, shared her surprise and gratitude:
"I would like to thank all of you and I want you to know that I was shocked and I really cried when I heard my name among the the TOP 10. I also want to thank Youssef Spahi because he helped me to lose weight and I really want to thank all the members of Face2Face and I hope to represent Egypt as best as I can."
Sarah Nashaat, the second runner-up from Alexandria, added:
"I really don't know what to add after Horreya and Nour, but I want to express my feeling toward the girls that I met during the competition and I hope that all of us be friends forever. I also invite all of you to share the work with me, Nour, and Horreya."
The evening concluded with the contestants dancing and enjoying themselves. Notable guests included Cherif Moheb and Mena, a contestant from Miss Alexanderia 2002 and a member of the Egyptian Wall of Beauty. All contestants from Miss Egypt Universe 2002/2003 were present, except for Essra Zaytoun.

One day later, Ines Gohar, Horreya's roommate, returned to Paris, France, to continue her studies after she failed to represent Egypt. She was very happy about Horreya's victory.

Egypt's Representatives at Big Four International Beauty Pageants
Egypt's representatives and their placements at the Big Four international beauty pageants are considered the most important in the world. This includes Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth.
The Miss Egypt has started to send a Miss Egypt to Miss Universe from 1987. Miss Egypt 1986, Hoda Aboud was winning the first title of Miss Egypt after many years did not held in Egypt by Miss Egypt Organization. Began 2017 a brand new of Miss Egypt Universe organized by Hoda Aboud sends a national winning title to Miss Universe.

The 1st Runner-up at Miss Egypt between 1987 and 2014 went to Miss World and began in 2016 the franchise holder took over by Miss Egypt Bent Msr (operated by Dr. Amel Rizk).
The Miss Egypt for Miss International awarded to former Miss Egypt winners or designation queens. Since the Miss International franchise in Egypt has rarely taken, the title has not extended since 2019.

The Miss Egypt pageant has a rich history, with the first contest held in 1927. Amaal Rezk took over the brand of Miss Egypt and rebranded it as Miss Egypt Bent Masr. Hoda Aboud won the first title of Miss Egypt in 1986 after many years without a pageant. Since 2017, a new Miss Egypt Universe competition, organized by Hoda Aboud, sends a national winner to Miss Universe.
