A Luxurious Escape into the African Bush
The Lodge itself is superb, as you truly feel if you are living within the African bush, but in a luxurious setting. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean, and the staff took amazing care of ensuring you had everything you could ever need. It was lovely and comfortable with high end linens and towels.

The staff, rangers, housekeepers, and chefs are all intricate parts of an unforgettable experience. Great service makes the stay here amazing. Many guests have raved about the rangers, whose knowledge and passion elevate the safari experience.
Our ranger was Jan. He was extremely thoughtful and experienced. We enjoyed having him for 6 game drives over our 3 days. Our ranger Jacob was an absolute treasure. He was brilliant, witty, patient and such gentleman. A true asset to Jocks. The game drives are wonderfully well organised and our enthusiastic, extremely knowledgable and friendly game ranger (Dave) really made it exciting and fun.

Thrilling Game Drives and Unforgettable Wildlife Encounters
The animal sightings on a regular basis, is of the finest. From someone who loves wildlife, I can't even begin to describe to you the interactions that we had with the animals during our time at Kruger. Our game drives were filled with the wonders of Mother Nature and Jacob educated us on the big and small. We saw lots of game and our guide was very knowledgeable on birds, plants & animals,he was a great driver as well. He was also very good at spotting game.
The game drives, what can I say - wow, wow, wow! Were absolutely amazing we saw lots of animals including the big 5 - we were also privileged to see 3 separate packs of wild dogs (apparently a rare site) in Kruger.

The way that the days were organized was a perfect balance, with a game drive early in the morning to see the world wake up with the sunrise and wake up the wildlife, with a morning break and breakfast to follow. Game drives were about 3 hours long with a break in the middle - coffee in the morning and drinks in the afternoon.
Every, single, drive was its own experience, and that was one of the most amazing aspects of the trip. You may see the same animals, even within the same areas, but each experience with them was completely different, which made us so excited to get out and see what the world had to offer that day. NEVER skip a drive!
Culinary Delights in the Bush
The food is also incredible. Whether it be breaakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is outstanding. Food and beverage: Excellent.
The food is just gorgeous, shout out to “the famous chef” as we called him, he made us laugh every dinner time, great guy! They are very passionate about the food they prepare and they take a lot of care in what they do. My favourites were the buffalo pie and the impala steaks!
They have different themes for all dinners in lovely settings with a good atmosphere and have a wide variety for you to choose from. While there we enjoyed the BOMA at the lodge, dinner off of the menu, and then a big feast at their off-site location somewhere in the veld and what an experience that was-and so beautiful to boot.

Most of the time you eat together as a group with your Ranger, which I really think adds to how great it is as you get to bond with your group and talk about your exciting game drives. You will not go hungry here they are such feeders J you get breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner.
An Anniversary to Remember
As this is already lengthy, I cannot express our gratitude and appreciation for the staff, the rangers, the housekeepers, the chefs, and EVERYONE that was an intricate part of an unforgettable experience for my wife and I, and made for an anniversary we will never be able to top.
