MS’s description boasts it can take your look from “hot, steamy days to sultry, smoky nights” and I put that to the test.
Fenty Beauty Moroccan Spice Palette Review
Fenty Beauty Moroccan Spice Eyeshadow Palette ($59.00 for 0.47 oz.) is a new, 16-pan palette that features an array of shimmers and mattes with pops of color and warmer neutrals.
The Moroccan Spice palette focused more on neutral browns and terracotta reds that are very suitable for everyday looks. There are also elements of this palette that will allow you to take it to a nighttime look very easily. Shimmery and glittery shades will help you take your everyday look to the next level. And if you're feeling sassy, that electric blue Evil Genie shade will be a definite crowd pleaser.

The packaging is beautiful. The packaging is pretty sleek and well-made. The palette has a range of warm and cool tones with pops of colour that are wearable. I actually like when palettes come with a mirror. I feel like it completes the whole product. The palette is rectangular with cut down edges. It is weighty and for size comparison, it is a smidge smaller than the Natasha Denona palettes.
The packaging looks very similar to the Galaxy Palette but in a purple packaging with dramatic pink and blue clouds. The shadow comes in diamond pans similar to the Galaxy Palette. There are 16 shades in the palette featuring glitters, satins, and mattes that are inspired by the colors of Morocco and made with no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and is cruelty free. You can find it at Sephora and the Fenty Beauty site for 59 bucks.
The finishes: There are 8 mattes and 8 shimmers. 7 cool tone shades and 9 warm tone shades make a really nice balance overall. The shimmers are stunning, particularly the shades Casablanca & Marrakkush. Mirage and Sahara Stunna are more like toppers to me. The shade Evil Genie is the star out of all.
The colors of this palette are very pigmented. One or two dips in the pan are all you need to get a great color payoff on your eye. They also blend beautifully! I've seen eyeshadow palettes where the colors just refuse to blend out and look caked in one spot and you can definitely expect the colors from this palette to blend well and work well with the other colors.
I also want to make a comment about the glitters and shimmers on this palette. The Moroccan Spice palette improved on the formulation of these glitters. I've used the glittery shades three separate times and from what I can tell, the glitters from this palette lay on the eye well, stayed in place and didn't move around, separate, and disappear when blending matte shades into them.

The wear time: these shadows do last forever. I have worked 12-14 hours a day and these shadows have lasted throughout. I tried them with and without primer and all shadows work well even without primer. They wore well over 8 hours on me.
Overall thoughts: I love it! I think it’s worth the hype! I find the shadows quick and easy to blend.
Overall rating: this palettes was $78 originally and quite frankly it isn’t worth that. I got it for $39 which was a much more digestable price. I don’t think I would have bought this palette had it not been on sale, but I will say that I do enjoy it daily or at least wear it a few times a week. I’m giving this a 3.5/5 stars simply because I think the original price is a bit too much.
Let's compare the Fenty Beauty Moroccan Spice Palette with the Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette:
| Feature | Moroccan Spice Palette | Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette |
|---|---|---|
| Finishes | Shimmers, metallics, satins, mattes | Glitters, shimmers |
| Color Range | Warm and cool tones, pops of color, earthy and smoky neutrals | Rainbow of celestial-inspired colors |
| Everyday Use | Suitable for everyday looks | More for special occasions |
| Glitter Formulation | Improved, glitters stay in place | Hard to work with, glitters move around |
PiPPermanent in Palette. I didn't find that the formula was impressive; they used a much drier formula that resulted in sheerer coverage, dusty shades that tend to sheer out or look more faded/muted on the lid, particularly with the shimmer shades. I tried some of the shimmers with a dampened brush, which helped initial application, but they still lost vibrancy and shine.

Lucky for me, the formula of these shadows makes up for the colors being somewhat limited in versatility. The best part though? They stay on all. day. long.
I do think primer is important, especially for me. Then, I remembered how much I love Fenty’s face primer and its way of somehow sucking up oil yet still locking in moisture while also filling in pores and fine lines and gripping makeup so it stays put. Pro Filt’r Amplifying Eye Primer did not disappoint. Where Urban Decay’s tends to get a little cakey and can roll (or ball up when spread), Fenty’s went on so smooth and a little product goes a long way. It also held up. For night, I laid down a base of eye primer and it was tough to get the color off, even using a makeup melting balm. It only fully dissolved when I used eye makeup remover.
For a Moroccan-themed palette, I definitely expected a few more rich, jewel-tones but this is a great palette overall.
Fenty Beauty Flyliner Liquid Liner Review
First up, let's talk about this Flyliner liquid liner in the shade Cuz I'm Black.
Right away, first impression, this.packaging.is.gorgeous. Fenty always comes out with GORGEOUS packaging and this Flyliner is no exception. This mirrored packaging is a definitely a magnet for fingerprints but HEY, it's impressive.
The tube itself is also triangular as opposed to the usual cylindrical tubes that liners come in. The intent is that the triangular shape sits easier in the grooves of your fingers to help you gain better control of your application. Speaking of application, the felt tip is heavily saturated with the product so the lightest touch delivers product to your eye.
The felt tip also goes to a teeny tiny point to help you get right on the lash line. The intent is definitely ease-of-use and precision with this product.
The liquid liner also dries down matte with zero to no gloss after it's completely dried.
The formula dries very fast, which means it won’t smudge or transfer when you first apply it. I am a Virgo and therefore a creature of habit. I like what I like and it’s tough for me to incorporate something new. If you’re familiar with this blog, you know one of my mainstays is Stila Stay All Day liquid eyeliner, which I’ve used for years.
Flyliner, a black liquid liner, is named Cuz I’m Black. This eyeliner is opaque black which is amazing to anyone who loves liquid liner but hates watery formulas. The best part: this eyeliner does not move unless you want it to. I wear eyeliner every day to work and, usually after lunch, I have to re-apply. The day I used FlyLiner, I went to touch it up and it was as thick and dark as it was when I applied it. It lasted from the morning all the way until I took my makeup off at night, more than 12 hours later. Like the shadow and primer, it didn’t come off with a balm but only with eye makeup remover. While FlyLiner’s staying power is a selling point, it also makes me nervous. That being said, FlyLiner is my new favorite eyeliner.
In terms of ease-of-use, the triangular shape DEFINITELY helped out a lot. Since the tube sat comfortably in my hand, I was fighting it less. And you guys know that liquid liner is already a little hard to work with if you aren't used to it so this triangle shaped definitely helped. What also helped in terms of precise application is the fact that you only need the lightest touch to get product onto your skin. This means that I didn't have to press harder and consequently getting a thicker line than I anticipated because a feather light touch lays down color.
That very, very fine point tip also is great for getting at your lash line. Some liner felt tips are so thick that you can't really even see what you're doing. Flyliner's tip is so fine that you can both see what you're doing and get riiiiight up close to your lash line. And with a tip that fine, drawing on a sharp as knife cat-eye liner is easy as pie. I REALLY enjoyed this liner for its ease of use. I usually avoid liquid liners on an every day basis because it takes too much precision and finagling and I don't have time for that in a quick ten-minute makeup routine for work. But using the Flyliner is so easy, it takes not time at all so I LOVE it for that.
However, right after applying the liner, I took a mascara curler to my eyes and the curler definitely lifted off some off the liner so I had to go back and fix the patchiness. That was a little disappointing.
Boy, did I test the Flyliner for lasting power today. I've had a heck of a day, guys. It rained like bonkers here in Austin. My car battery died. So on top of stressing at work, I ran around in the outside, the humid, humid outside and now, upon writing this blog, it's been 12 hours since I've had this eyeliner on. It's held up ok! It hasn't crumbled or disappeared from my eye. There are one or two tiny patches that are missing but that's me taking a mirror one centimeter from my eye. Nobody will be able to notice that.
Housed in an ergonomic triangular pen, the Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner in "Cuz I'm Black" is a waterproof, smudge-proof liquid eyeliner paired with an innovative felt tip applicator. I personally prefer brush tips over felt tips but the Flyliner applicator is very impressive. It's fine and flexible but not flimsy. It also doesn't dry up during application, making it super easy to achieve clean, opaque lines.
When I tried to swatch the liner on the back of my hand, I noticed some bleeding so I was quite worried. However, the eyeliner went on super smoothly without any creasing or running. The formulation is extremely pigmented and quick-drying but it also layers well without becoming crusty and dry. The finish is midway between matte and shiny so I think it will satisfy all tastes.
In terms of wear, the liner fares really well. The formulation is very waterproof and smudge-proof and even with sweat and sebum, it does not "melt" and transfer.
Overall: I think the Flyliner is worth the twenty bucks. I DEFINITELY can use this on an everyday basis given how easy it is to work with and it applies beautifully. That all on its own is worth the money.
Fenty Beauty Moroccan Spice Palette and Flyliner Liquid Liner Final Thoughts
Both the Moroccan Spice Palette and the Flyliner Liquid Liner both are good quality and I'm satisfied and happy with these purchases. I'm also really excited that I can use both on an every day basis.
The Moroccan Spice palette is a great improvement to the first Fenty Beauty shadow palette and the colors are beautiful AS ALWAYS and definitely more suited to every day. I will definitely be using this palette more often.
The liquid liner isn't perfect and I've definitely seen stronger formulations of liquid liners BUT there's no arguing that liner shape, the extreme saturation, and thin felt tip makes it a GREAT eyeliner to use.
