What to Pack for February in Hurghada
Pack light layers such as t-shirts, shorts, and a light jacket for cooler evenings. For Hurghada winter weather (Dec-Feb), pack: light sweater for evenings (14-18°C), t-shirts for daytime (23-25°C), long pants for cultural sites, light jacket for boat trips. Include swimwear as sea temperature (22-24°C) is still good for swimming.
Absolutely essential! Hurghada's UV index is very high year-round due to minimal cloud cover, low latitude, and reflection off water and sand. Always use SPF 30+ sunscreen (reapply every 2 hours), wear sunglasses, use wide-brimmed hats, and seek shade during peak hours (11am-4pm).

Top Attractions in Hurghada for February
Besides the array of exciting events and activities Hurghada has to offer for travelers in February, we want to remind you of the classic attractions in Hurghada that are great to visit at this time of the year as well! You can’t miss these iconic landmarks, local favorites, and places rich with cultural heritage.
- Marina Hurghada: A modern promenade with restaurants and shops. Hurghada Marina is a modern, well-maintained promenade designed primarily for tourists. It’s lined with stylish but often overpriced restaurants, all set in a clean, polished environment. The entire area is gated and heavily secured, which may give some visitors a sense of exclusivity or safety. However, this setup might also imply that the rest of Hurghada is less safe - which is not true. Still, the Marina is worth visiting, especially if you enjoy a touch of Monaco-style glamour while on the Red Sea. Come for a sunset walk or a drink with a view - just don’t expect to experience local culture here.
- Mahmya Island: A posh day-cruise destination with a sandy beach and activities.Utterly stunning. The island is honestly stunning, the crystal blue water, coral and fish can take your breath away. We were lucky enough to go on a boat trip from the island to deeper coral. So so so beautiful all the colours
- Jazā'ir Jiftūn (Giftun Island): An island with a nature preserve and white sand beaches. Lovely lovely island with great white sandy beach and clear turquoise water. There are public and private beaches all of which are great. The private beaches like Orange Bay and Mahmya are simply marvelous and worth the money. There are also some nice snorkeling spots but not the spots the regular trips go to. The reefs in the shallow waters have been mostly ruined but still OK. The best thing is the boat trip, really love every moment faring over the red sea from Hurghada port to Giftun and back.
- Senzo Mall Hurghada: A shopping mall with international brands and a food court. Senzo Mall is a modern and easily accessible shopping center in Hurghada that offers a wide variety of stores and services. You’ll find everything from well-known clothing chains to supermarkets with food, drinks, cosmetics, and personal care items.
- Makadi Water World: A water park for kids and adults. We had an amazing time at Makadi Water World during our stay in Makadi Bay. The water park is massive, with a great variety of slides to suit all ages and levels of thrill-seeking. We arrived just before 10 AM and practically had the place to ourselves for the first couple of hours, which was brilliant.
- Pickalbatros Jungle Aqua Park Resort: A resort with multiple restaurants, bars, and a water park. We recently stayed at Jungle Aqua Park in Hurghada and had a fantastic time! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The water park itself is the highlight - perfect for both kids and adults.
