Located in one of Africa’s most iconic cities, at the gateway to the desert, this hotel is an oasis of elegance. It is the fourth hotel under the Pestana CR7 Lifestyle brand, following the successful launches in Funchal, Lisbon, and Madrid.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal's leading hotel chain, Pestana Hotel Group, partnered to bring this vision to life. The project, financed and owned by Moroccan investor M Avenue, represents a €40 million investment in the 4-star hotel, which features 174 rooms, with 80% of them being suites.
A Partnership Built on Mutual Admiration
Ronaldo expressed his long-standing interest in the hotel industry and how his relationship with Dionísio Pestana, the owner and chairman of the Pestana Hotel Group, made this venture a reality. Their mutual admiration gradually converted into a meaningful business project for both.
The Pestana CR7 Funchal, Ronaldo's first hotel with Pestana, opened in July 2016, marking the beginning of this successful collaboration.
Amenities and Services
The Pestana CR7 Marrakech is designed to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travelers. The hotel boasts two restaurants, offering a diverse culinary experience. Emphasizing wellness, the hotel features a spa and a fitness center.

Connectivity and Technology
One of the main requirements for guests is a fast and reliable Internet connection. Workspaces and meeting rooms must also provide professionals with the means to connect to their companies, customers, and partners at all times and in all situations.
To meet these requirements, IT Hospitality Group implemented Wi-Fi solutions from Cambium Networks. Approximately 130 E430s (wall plate access points) were installed in the rooms and suites, providing WiFi connectivity and IPTV broadcasting. The lobby, corridors, restaurants, and bar are equipped with 40 E410s. The terraces and pool area are covered by E500 outdoor access points, while the meeting rooms feature E600 high-density access points.
Olivier Hénnion, Managing Director of IT Hospitality Group, highlighted the company's extensive experience with hotel chains in Africa. IT Hospitality Group partnered with HPN for the site survey, wiring, LAN infrastructure, and physical installation of the access points. This collaboration ensures that the end customer has a local resource for level-1 support operations.
After successful tests, including the implementation of a captive portal for marketing operations, the Pestana CR7 Marrakech has been operating for almost a year. It was one of the first hotel sites in Morocco to be equipped with a Wi-Fi solution from Cambium Networks.
