Stevens attended Gig Harbor High School in Gig Harbor, Washington, where he began to showcase his baseball talents.

College Baseball at the University of Portland

He was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 40th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign. Instead, he chose to play college baseball at the University of Portland.

Professional Career

After four years at Portland, Stevens was selected by the Houston Astros in the 11th round of the 2021 MLB draft and signed.

Stevens was assigned to Triple-A Salt Lake to begin the 2025 season, playing in 72 games and slashing .307/.383/.542 with 14 home runs, 43 RBI, and nine stolen bases.

On July 3, 2025, Stevens was selected to the 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues for the first time.

His first MLB hit was a single off Max Scherzer on July 5 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
