This article commemorates the lives of three individuals named Chad Peters, each leaving behind a unique and cherished legacy. We remember Chadwick Arthur Peters, Chad Eric Peters, and Chad M. Peters. Their stories, though distinct, share common threads of love, service, and impact on the lives of those around them.

Chadwick Arthur Peters (1947-2024)

Chadwick Arthur Peters, 77, of Bluffton, S.C., passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, after a stroke. He was raised in Lewistown, Pa., and educated at Hamilton High School West, Trenton, N.J. For many years he was a maintenance mechanic at Lockheed Martin in Mt.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Marie Peters; a brother, Walt Peters; a stepsister, Eileen Kisiel; nephews, Charles Peters and Michael Peters; nieces, Mary Peters and Sara Peters; and stepchildren, Jeffrey Brumley and Angie Crosier. He was predeceased by a brother Ralph Peters and a step-brother Patrick “Johnny” Rametti.

Chadwick married Eileen Marie Peters on January 12, 1998, and they celebrated 26 wonderful years together, enjoying traveling, adventure, and their dogs. He was a motorcyclist and avid traveler. There was nothing he loved more than a good trip, a good meal, and listening to his favorite music. Peters was a devoted brother, always making time to visit his family in Pennsylvania and New Jersey annually.

His ashes will be spread in Mifflin County, Pa. amongst his brother and parents.

Chad Eric Peters (1971-2022)

Chad Eric Peters came into this world on Feb 17, 1971 in Somerset, KY. He made Cincinnati, OH home until his death.

Chad proudly served his country in the US Navy. He loved and respected the military services of the United States. After leaving the Navy, Chad went on to become a nurse, and yet again to serve others. He dedicated his life to the service of others. The lives he touched in his short time on the earth can never be counted. It was phenomenal. His life, and his legacy, was beautiful.

Why They're Laughing at Your Funeral (Psychology of Nervous Laughter)

Chad loved to make people laugh and laugh people did. He had a unique ability to create laughter even in the darkest of times. Not just laughter…true comfort. Laughter is the best medicine, they say, and as a nurse, Chad loved to dispense it in abundance. He was a force of nature.

He touched so many lives and many will carry the weight of his loss. They better, however, do it with a chuckle, to honor the legacy that he left us. That is all Chad ever wanted, truly, to leave a person's life better than it was before he entered it. And we are all better for having the time we had with him. Whether he comforted us, taught us a lesson, or made us laugh. We are better.

Chad leaves behind a family that will never again be whole without him. Whether this family be blood or those that he chose to be his family. Never will we be the same. But we are not meant to be. We are meant to carry Chad forward with us. And carry him we will.

Chad is survived by his mother, whom he loved dearly, Barbara and William "Burr' Prather of Somerset, KY. His 2 sons, who were his world, Jake and Tiffany Peters, Ryan Peters and Nina, both of Cincinnati, OH and "Popeye's" most precious grandson, Mark Austin. His sister, debatably adopted (family joke), Amy and Kenny Sterns of Somerset, KY. Also, survived by nephew, Kenneth Gray Sterns and Kylie; nieces Kinberlyn Sterns, Alison (Ali) Sterns, and Azlyn Sterns, all of Somerset, KY. Also, great niece, Lilith Maya Sterns, of Somerset, KY. Chad only had 2 sons by blood but he is also survived by Calieb Kilgore, whom he loved as a son.

He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Peters; stepmother Monica Brown Peters; paternal grandparents Kenneth Peters and Bessie Martin; maternal grandparents, William Patterson and Thelma McBroom. Chad had a special group of friends in Cincinnati that were very much his family. They made his life rich and full. He loved them very much. And for that, his family is forever grateful.

Aside from his family and friends, Chad very much loved his fur babies. The bond was undeniable. Right before Chad's passing he lost his "little buddy," Khan. We like to think that as Chad started his journey to the other side that Khan was standing at the end of the Rainbow Bridge anxious to reunite and guide him further on. Never to part again.

Chad attended Crossroads Church. He knew God had a plan for him. For us all. And while there is no doubt that Chad would rather have had more time with us all he believed in the promise that we would all be together again.
