Chad Elliott Murphy, 50, of Hendersonville, passed away unexpectantly on February 3, 2024. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Early Life and Education
Chad was born on August 4, 1973, in Pardee Hospital. He was the second son of Roy and Sheila Murphy. Chad lived most of his life in Hendersonville. He graduated from West Henderson High School in 1991.
Service and Career
Chad served 8 years in the Army Reserves as a Combat Engineer.
Chad was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. Chad learned how to cut meat (butcher meat) at 20 years old while he and Julie worked at Quincey’s. She used to get into trouble for sneaking into the meat room to visit him and steal kisses.
For the last 7 years Chad worked for Champion Comfort Experts. He started as an HVAC tech and was promoted to Service Manager 4 years ago. Chad loved HVAC and had finally found his niche. He enjoyed helping diagnose problems and working towards the best solutions. Chad was truly happy in his career path.

Faith and Family
Chad was raised in the Nazarene Church and loved the Lord from an early age. Chad had aspirations of being in the ministry and as a young man preached two sermons at this childhood church.
He was so proud of his three boys: Hunter - 24, Aiden - 18 and Ethan - 15. His love for Dad jokes will not be forgotten. The cornier they were, the bigger he smiled. Chad enjoyed listening to comedy and all kinds of music. His pursuit for knowledge and learning anything new was endless. His willingness to share his “fun facts” with anyone who would listen was boundless. Everyone learned something from Chad. He was a wonderful and patient teacher and father.
Love and Partnership
His second love behind his kids, was his wife, Julie. Chad and Julie first met in 1993 when she went to work at Quincey’s Steakhouse. Chad trained her how to wait tables and to scrub food out of the carpet with a soup spoon. Something they still laughed about frequently.
They reunited ten years later in 2003, got married in 2004 and experienced over 20 years of partnership and love, raising kids while making plans for their after kids’ time.
