The Camille Rose Signature Collection offers a variety of products designed to moisturize, soften, and strengthen curly hair. After trying the Almond Jai Twisting Butter, I decided to explore more of what this collection has to offer, particularly for type 3 and 4 hair.
Within the Camille Rose Signature Collection, you can find shampoos, conditioners, co-washes, deep conditioners, leave-in conditioners, and hair butters. I chose to try the Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse, Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard, Algae Renew Deep Conditioner, Curl Love Moisture Milk, Curl Maker Styling Gel, and Almond Jai Twisting Butter.
These products are primarily formulated for type 3 and 4 hair, although some items in the collection may be suitable for other hair types. The collection aims to strengthen hair, define curls, and elongate strands, ultimately helping hair retain moisture and feel softer.
The Camille Rose Naturals Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard contains a natural buttercream base silkened with a culinary cocktail oil blend of Moroccan pear, cherry kernel, and urica. Vitamin-rich extracts A, B, C, D & K are mixed with protective antioxidants to offer potent nourishment to strands in need of a little TLC.
Let's delve deeper into the Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard and other products from the collection.

Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse: A Shampoo Review
The Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse features a nozzle tip applicator, making it easy to target the scalp directly. One notable aspect is the lemon and ginger combination, which some may find has a cleaning product-like scent. However, since it is a rinse-out product, the smell is manageable.
The consistency of this shampoo is neither too liquidy nor too thick, making it easy to apply the desired amount. It is designed to cleanse the scalp without stripping the hair of its moisture. After using the shampoo, my hair felt clean without feeling dry.
How Well Did It Wash Your Hair?
This shampoo provided a decent clean after two washes, though it didn’t thoroughly wash my hair. My hair didn’t feel like it needed another wash until 3-4 days later. My scalp felt refreshed and the shampoo temporarily helped with itching. It also removed some product build-up on my scalp.
However, in areas with flaking or excess dirt, the shampoo wasn’t as effective. It’s a great shampoo, but it would be better to use it with a clarifying shampoo or a scalp treatment to avoid buildup and flakes.
Since I deal with scalp build-up, I prefer to wash my hair once a week unless it’s in a protective style. I have been using it for almost 4 months, and I still have some left, considering I share this product with someone else who also washes their hair once a week.

Washing Tips I Learned
Although the nozzle tip is helpful, sometimes I prefer to squeeze the product in my hand. This is because I can emulsify the product in my hands first, so when I apply the shampoo to my scalp, it feels like it is reaching the whole section of my hair. When I use the applicator to apply it straight to my scalp, I squeeze the shampoo around the section of hair and then apply some straight down the middle of the part. For the first wash, I would apply it to my hands first, and for the second wash, it would go on my scalp.
Since it’s just a shampoo, any hair type can use it. If you have dry hair, this shampoo would be a good option for you to try. Also, If you suffer from a flaky, itchy scalp, you should use this product with a scalp treatment.
Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard: The Perfect Detangler?
The Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard is designed as the perfect conditioner for detangling hair. This product also has a sweet fruity smell that is very pleasant. As soon as I applied this product, my hair felt smooth and slippery, which is always a good sign.
After leaving the conditioner in my hair for about 5 minutes, it took me about 15-20 minutes to detangle my hair. Even though this is a great product to detangle my hair, I don’t use conditioner on my hair often since I deep condition and use a leave-in conditioner after washing my hair. I would only use this product if my hair seemed very dry.
Over the 4 months, I used this product around 4-5 times, but the person with type 3 hair uses it weekly. Sometimes they would use it to co-wash their hair in between the week. This is a good conditioner, and I would say it’s worth the price. Most conditioners at this price never feel like this on my hair.

How to Use: Apply a generous amount of conditioner to wet hair. Detangle with fingers or a wide tooth comb. Allow 5-10 minutes for vitamins and nutrients to penetrate stands. Rinse with cool water and gently towel dry.
Algae Renew Deep Conditioner: Strengthening and Moisturizing
This product is meant to prevent strands from breaking, shedding, and thinning while adding moisture to the hair. The blue-green algae ingredient is supposed to strengthen the hair, preventing thinning and breakage. To help moisturize the hair and seal in moisture is the mango butter.
I am currently not dealing with any shedding or thinning. Although, I have noticed some breakage in the back of my head. This section of hair feels thinner on the ends compared to the roots. I can say that this product did help strengthen that small section of hair since I made sure to directly apply the product to that area.
How Did This Conditioner Make Your Hair Feel?
My hair felt so soft after rising this deep conditioner out. As I said earlier, I usually skip conditioning my hair and choose to make deep conditioning my second step right after washing my hair. I prefer to use the deep conditioner to detangle my hair a second time.
After using a plastic cap and a hooded dryer, my hair becomes so easy to detangle. Since it is a thick conditioner, it is better suited for those with thicker hair strands or hair types that are 3 or 4. If you have dry and damaged hair, then you should give this deep conditioner a try.
Curl Love Moisture Milk: A Lightweight Leave-In Conditioner
A lightweight leave-in conditioner meant to soften your hair while hydrating and elongating your hair strands. With rice milk and macadamia seed oil being the key ingredients, the smell is not the best. It kind of has a sour, nutty smell. Even though the product does not smell like flowers, it makes the hair feel slippery and smooth, thanks to the slippery elm bark.
This moisture milk makes the curls look very shiny. This product gives the hair a perfect start for an amazing wash and go. I did not use it because I do not do wash and go’s on my hair, but it works wonderfully on type 3 hair. So those with a looser curl pattern will benefit the most from this product.
BATTLE OF THE BRANDS | Camille Rose Curl Maker vs Mielle Organics Styling Gel
Curl Maker Styling Gel: Defining Curls
A curl-defining jelly crafted to smooth and define the curls while moisturizing and encouraging length retention. It has a pump applicator which I think is better than a tub. The pump helps you control the amount of gel you take.
How Well Did It Define The Curls?
Combining the Curl Maker Styling Gel with the Curl Love Moisture Milk gave the curls a nice defined look. They looked shiny and felt very soft when the hair was wet. The great thing about this gel is that it does not leave a lasting hard cast when it dries. The hair feels a little hard the first day but softens the next day.
Typically the wash and go remained its definition for about three days, and then the frizz took over. It is essential that you use a method that works for your hair when applying the product to get well-defined curls. When I applied the gel all over the hair without sectioning the hair, the style would last only a day.
Does It Flake?
The biggest question when it comes to gel, and I can tell you, this combo has no flaking. I have not tried using this gel with another leave-in, so I am unsure how this gel will react with other leave-in conditioners, but I am hoping for the best.
Overall the gel does not weigh the hair down, and you get defined curls and body.
Almond Jai Twisting Butter: For Defined and Fluffy Hairstyles
A styling butter for moisturizing and elongating your hair. It helps create defined, fluffy hairstyles with a sweet almond smell. It is no surprise that this product keeps the hair moisturized and soft with key ingredients like aloe vera, almond extract, and honey.
I used this product as my leave-in conditioner. So far, I have used it to create two-strand twist-outs and three-strand twist-outs. If I need to stretch my hair, I would apply this product on wet hair and braid it into medium size braids, then let it dry overnight. My hair always felt really soft when I did this.
How Did Your Hair Look After Using The Product?
This product has given me the most beautiful twist-outs I have ever done. My hair would look really shiny, fluffy, and feel very soft. Most importantly, my curls were well defined and had little fizz.
My twist-outs lasted about a week. For the first 4-5 days, I would leave it out, and after that, I would have to put my hair in a puff or a bun. If it was humid outside, my hair had no chance of lasting, but that is what happens with curly hair.
This leave-in conditioner is pricey, but with the results I received, I would definitely say it is worth the price. Also, the ingredients in this product are great and have helped my hair appear healthier and shinier. This product is meant for you if you have type 3 or 4 hair or thick hair strands. It covers the hair strands well while making the hair very soft.
Final Thoughts on the Camille Rose Signature Collection
I thoroughly enjoy using this collection, and it is perfect for my hair type and thickness, which is why I am giving it 4.8 stars. The products last a decent amount of time, smell good, help moisturize my hair, make my hair stronger, and feel softer. These products were so great that I would repurchase them again. Considering that they worked so well for type 4 and 3 hair.
I do need to note that The Almond Jai Twisting Butter is the clear standout for me. My hair looks so good when I use it, and my styles last a little longer than other leave-in products. Give these products a try if you deal with dry or slightly damaged hair.
