Delta Airlines

Some passengers truly love flying with Delta, noting that they have always been treated with the utmost respect. However, experiences can vary, as one passenger reported that their flight attendant in First Class was unpleasant and provided poor service. Other passengers have had good, uneventful flights with Delta, finding the cheap seats reasonably comfortable and the staff friendly.

United Airlines

Several passengers expressed disappointment with United Airlines. One user recounted a frustrating experience with customer service, where their concerns about a connecting flight were dismissed rudely. Another passenger complained about the lack of cleanliness on the planes, citing dust, dirt, and food debris. There’s lines of dust and dirt all across the ceiling in the vents, and the cracks in between the seats are literally full of food. It’s definitely not the quality of service that I was used to with United. I’m also very disappointed with the Wi-Fi! All I wanna do is knock out a few work jobs while I’m trapped in my seat And it spools so bad. They did provide me with a refund, but the process of getting that refund is so complicated. It’s unfortunate. Another passenger reported that United could have one single once of customer service. No human United employee would help me with the invalid mileage plus number, they said I had to speak with the computer. Some passengers experienced significant disruptions, including being bumped from flights and rerouted on different airlines, leading to lost extra leg room and unexpected baggage fees.

Iberia

One passenger described their experience with Iberia as a disaster, citing downgrades, lack of apology, and poor coordination between gate and crew. The app never works. Avoid this airline. Another passenger noted that Iberia mentioned that it was because the plane was delayed in Madrid before our flight began in LAX. They should compensate us half of my payment.

Lufthansa

Some passengers had positive experiences with Lufthansa, praising the food quality, complimentary French red wine, and good movie selection. Also my ticket price includes 1 free check-in luggage, while some other budget airlines sneak in an extra $150 for a checkin. However, other passengers reported issues such as flight delays, missed connections, and poor service during the flight. The flight delay made the connection a bit tight but that's outside the flight crew's control. We just made it to our connecting flight. A long, long speed walk!

American Airlines

Overall, our experience was similar to what we had on other American Airlines transatlantic flights - good value at a reasonable price. We were even able to get our carry-on baggage onto the plane without needing to gate check it. One passenger described the seats as miserably small, barely allowing any movement. Food was meh (per usual), but at least there is free alcohol on an overseas flight. Doesn't make up for sitting in a torture chamber while hurtling through the air with hundreds of fussy people, but it's something. Entertainment options (movies, shows) are okay, nothing special, but at least there are screens, because most of the seats in these large planes do not have adjustable lighting - or air control - that you can get to, it's too high to reach - which makes reading impossible.

In-Flight Comfort and Amenities

Comfort during a long flight is essential. Some passengers have noted issues with legroom, seat size, and cleanliness. The seats are so small that you can barely move at all. Don't try to eat with utensils in your seat either - you will elbow your neighbor in the face. Miserably small and I swear they are shrinking every time I fly.

The aircraft interior is old and tired on this aircraft. The entertainment system never worked despite the crews attempt to reset the system. The flight used a B767 with a very old interior from before 2014. The entertainment system did not work at all during the flight despite attempts to reset the system. It was like they flew this route just to be competitive.

Stay Informed: Airlines have to stop assuming passengers bring entertainment. Provide it like you used to in business class and above!! NI don't know about the others but the flight attendant that took care of us had the absolute wrong approach "how do we dare asking for water or anything else for that matter"
