Spotlight on Da' Shrine Restaurant

Da’ Shrine is located at 5137 N Florida Ave., directly across from Spaddy’s Coffee Co. and adjacent to other concepts like Chocolate Pi, Independent Bar and Cafe and the newly-opened Champion Pizza.

The Caribbean and African restaurant celebrated a grand opening on Nov. 9 and offers a variety of both traditional and fusion dishes, from whole red snapper with jollof rice and stewed oxtails to pounded yam and chicken stew, the popular Nigerian soup egusi, jerk chicken wings and spicy spaghetti.

Da’ Shrine is also open for breakfast, with a daytime menu of red velvet pancakes, shrimp and grits and a steak skillet, alongside its full-service bar which boasts a variety craft cocktails, beer and wine.

The newly-opened restaurant’s indoor dining room and bar are also joined by its second-story patio that overlooks Florida Avenue.
