Go abseiling

EDEN ADVENTURES runs an abseiling tour close to the Swart River Waterfall. They offer two 45-metre abseiling lines right next to the waterfall – imagine the views!
For the ‘faint-hearted’, TSITSIKAMMA FALLS ADVENTURE offers a 36 metre abseil – although not as high as Eden Adventures, it is definitely not less in value. You can expect an exhilarating ride from the moment you launch right down to the landing platform which is just above the water.
Horse rides on the beach
Experience horse riding on the beach at “Beach Horse Rides Papiesfontein”. It is situated on the Garden Route, and allows you to ride along the striking sand dunes and beautiful beach scenery on a 15-kilometre trail.
Assistance is given in selecting the right horse for the rider’s level of experience – so no need to worry about being a ‘pro’! The guides are knowledgeable and will explain the surroundings as you trot along. More experienced riders can choose to leave the group and ride on their own!

Enjoy a walk with the cheetahs
The Cheetah is known as the slickest cat in the animal kingdom and is extremely difficult to spot because they are so fast. They hunt during the day and a fascinating fact is that any given hunt lasts only one minute. Imagine walking alongside these gracious animals?
The Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre offers a personal experience with these cats. They give you the opportunity to walk alongside one of the adult cats through the stunning Tsitsikamma forest and Cape floral fynbos. You can meet these cats up close and personal, while the guides take extra care not to ‘intrude’ on the animals’ ‘wild side’. Protection of both visitor and cats is of the utmost importance.
Go cliff jumping and ride sand dunes
Ever fancied jumping off a cliff – just for fun?
There are very few places in South Africa offering this activity. ‘Wacky Wipe-outs Sandboarding’ is one of them. Cliff jumping offers a mind-blowing experience and is certainly not for the faint-hearted.
For those who feel they do not need such extreme measures to deal with their stress-levels, they can always try dune-riding. Either way, Wacky Wipe-Outs will guarantee great adventure for families or a group of friends!
