Public Health Investigation
In March 2024, Public Health investigated an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness associated with Zobel Ethiopian Cuisine in Seattle. Two people from separate households reported becoming sick on March 4, 2024. They each had one or more symptoms consistent with a bacterial toxin, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, chills, and body aches.
Public Health conducted interviews with the people who became sick to identify potential common exposures and identified that they both became sick after eating at Zobel Ethiopian Cuisine. The exact food ingredient or drink that caused the illnesses was not identified, though this is not uncommon for outbreaks associated with a bacterial toxin.

Environmental Health Investigation
Environmental Health investigators visited Zobel Ethiopian Cuisine restaurant on March 11, 2024. Investigators identified potential risk factors for bacterial toxin growth including improper cooling of food and inadequate refrigeration. Corrective actions were implemented at the time of the visit, and investigators provided education on proper cooling procedures for cooked foods.
Note that there was no laboratory testing for the people who got sick.

Account Usage
We may monitor and review new accounts before you may sign in and use our Services, though we have no obligation to do so. Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized uses of your account or any other breaches of security. We will not be liable for any acts or omissions by you, including any damages of any kind incurred as a result of such acts or omissions.
We may suspend, disable, or delete your account (or any part thereof) if we determine that you have violated any provision of this Agreement or that your conduct or content would tend to damage our reputation and goodwill. If we delete your account for the foregoing reasons, you may not re-register for our Services.

Purchase and Pricing
If, in our judgment, your purchase constitutes a high-risk transaction, we will require you to provide us with a copy of your valid government-issued photo identification, and possibly a copy of a recent bank statement for the credit or debit card used for the purchase. We reserve the right to change products and product pricing at any time. We also reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address.
Refund Policy
Refunds are not typically provided for food that you simply do not like or are dissatisfied with. Additionally, we cannot provide any refund if you change your mind or mistakenly order an item after the order is prepared. Unless otherwise required by law, all requests for refunds must be submitted within 48 hours after placing the order. The original receipt must accompany all refund requests. If the reasons are valid, refunds will be issued to the same card that was used in the original purchase. If you fail to submit your requests to us in writing within the time limit set forth above or fail to provide any valid reason for the requests, we will not be able to provide you any refund.

Agreement Validity
If any provision or portion of any provision of this Agreement shall be held to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, it is the intention of the parties that the remaining provisions or portions thereof shall constitute their agreement with respect to the subject matter hereof, and all such remaining provisions or portions thereof shall remain in full force and effect.
Dispute Resolution
The formation, interpretation, and performance of this Agreement and any disputes arising out of it shall be governed by the substantive and procedural laws of the state our business is registered at, in the United States, without regard to its rules on conflicts or choice of law and, to the extent applicable, the laws of United States. The exclusive jurisdiction and venue for actions related to the subject matter hereof shall be the courts located in the state our business registered at, in the United States, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. You hereby waive any right to a jury trial in any proceeding arising out of or related to this Agreement. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to this Agreement.
Assignment
You may not assign, resell, sub-license or otherwise transfer or delegate any of your rights or obligations hereunder, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent, which consent shall be at our own sole discretion and without obligation; any such assignment or transfer shall be null and void.
