Victoria Falls, a spectacular waterfall on the Zambezi River, straddles the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. This area is a host of many adventure activities, including white water rafting and bungee jumping. With Victoria Falls as the backdrop, the 200-year-old Victoria Falls Bridge as the starting point, and the Zambezi River rushing below, this is where adrenaline junkies come face-to-face with some of the most thrilling and picturesque experiences in the world.

Why Choose Victoria Falls for Bungee Jumping?
The Victoria Falls Bungee Jump is undoubtedly one of the most scenic bungee jumps in the world. With the Victoria Falls themselves as the backdrop and the mighty Zambezi River flowing beneath you, this is sure to be the greatest bungee jump you'll ever experience. Some say it's the best bungee in the world...it's not the highest, that honor goes to Macau Tower in China which is an incredible 233m. Maybe it is because of the backdrop of the Victoria Falls or maybe just the fact that you are free falling down towards the mighty Zambezi.
Over 300,000 guests have bungee jumped since 1994, making it one of the most experienced operators globally.

Practical Advice for Planning Your Trip
Here's some practical advice to help you plan your bungee jumping adventure at Victoria Falls:
- Booking in Advance: Booking your bungee jump at Victoria Falls in advance is essential, especially during the peak travel seasons (June-September and December holidays).
- Safety: Yes - safety is the top priority for all bungee jump operators at Victoria Falls. Emergency and rescue protocols are in place, and every jump is monitored from multiple positions to ensure complete participant safety.
Best Time to Visit
- Dry Season (May to October): The best time for bungee jumping at Victoria Falls.
- Wet Season (November to April): While still open, this period can bring heavier mist and more wind, especially in the early mornings or afternoons.
What to Pack
- A camera and a Go Pro. Have one of the people take your picture while you are leaping (like Heather did for me). You might also want to film from a POV perspective with your go pro
- A Steri-pen to treat your water. Avoid contributing to the landfills with more single use plastic water bottles and use this toy to keep you healthy at the same time.
- Travel Insurance! Make sure your insurance includes higher risk activities like bungee jumping.
- Your passport - the bridge is on a border between two countries and you will want to check out both Zambia and Zimbawe.
- A Scrubba Bag. That way you can keep your electronics dry when you are walking near the falls in the rainy season, and you can clean the underwear you were wearing when you went bungee jumping!
- US Dollars. Crisp, clean and new and in small denominations ($20 is the perfect bill). You might be able to use a credit card, but US cash will get you out of many issues while you are travelling around either country.
- Your Vaccinations and documentation! Don't travel anywhere without your Hep A,B and C vaccinations. You may also need malaria medication and a Typhoid Vaccine. You might need proof of a yellow fever vaccination depending on where else you have been. Check with your doctor to be sure. The US Center for Disease Control is another great resource.
Additional Information
Here are some additional details to help you plan your visit:
- Operating hours: The bridge is open between 9am and 5pm, but is closed for lunch between 1 - 2pm.
- Getting there: You can book a transfer or it’s a 20-minute walk from town.
- Activity duration: All activities, excluding getting to the bridge, have a turnaround time of around 1 hour.
- What to bring: Although you don’t need a visa, our jump takes place between Zimbabwe and Zambia, so you do need to bring your passport.
- What to leave behind: Any valuables.
- Weight and health restrictions: All activities have a minimum weight restriction of 40kg. The Bungee has a maximum weight limit of 120kg. The total max weight limit for the tandem Swing is 180kg. The Bridge Slide has a maximum weight limit of 140kg. People with high blood pressure, bad backs, or heart issues are not advised to do The Bungee or Swing.
- Age restriction: To Bungee or Swing you must be at least 14 years old. For The Slide you must be at least 6 years old.
- Weather restrictions: We stop jumping during rain to protect the cords.
Your Victoria Falls Bungee Jump will undoubtedly be more than a passing thought the night before you take the leap. But, even though your mind will be buzzing with adrenaline, don’t forget to take your passport on the day! You’ll need it to get onto the Victoria Falls Bungee bridge which marks the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
