Suave Moroccan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner Review: Shine and Hydration on a Budget

Longtime users of Suave products appreciate their commitment to providing budget-conscious consumers with effective hair care solutions. The Suave Moroccan Infusion line, including the Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, aims to deliver noticeable shine and long-lasting conditioning, infused with authentic Moroccan argan oil.

The Suave Moroccan Hair Collection promises to transform frizzy, unmanageable hair into sleek, smooth, and easy-to-style locks.

The Products

The Suave Moroccan Infusion line includes:

  • Shine Shampoo
  • Shine Conditioner
  • Color Care Shampoo
  • Color Care Conditioner
  • Styling products

These products are designed for normal to dry hair.

Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Shine Shampoo

Infused with authentic Moroccan argan oil, this Moroccan oil volume shampoo gently cleanses, leaving hair with noticeable shine. The shampoo lathers quite easily and it's easy to distribute throughout my hair.

Although really hydrating, this shampoo gets my hair feeling clean & it actually lathers really nicely! While being really hydrating it rinses completely clean & doesn’t leave my scalp oily or anything like that.

Directions: Wet hair, massage into hair and scalp, then rinse.

Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Shine Conditioner

Infused with authentic Moroccan argan oil, this shine conditioner provides hair with noticeable shine and long-lasting conditioning. The conditioner applies best when my hair is very damp.

There is some slip to this conditioner but it's not one of those conditioners that instantly turns your hair into silk. Don't expect crazy detangling from this conditioner but, by the same token, it won't weight your hair down.

Directions: Apply after using Moroccan Infusion Shine Shampoo. Leave for 1-3 minutes. Rinse.

Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Deep Conditioning Shine Mask

Yes, Suave does make a conditioner for this line but I honestly prefer this mask as my conditioner instead! It is even more hydrating & more rich than the conditioner which my hair prefers. If you have thinner, less dry hair then the conditioner from this line would likely be a better choice.

I leave this on my hair as long as I can while I’m washing my face or shaving or whatever.

Fragrance

The scent is a blend of clean musk, "Moroccan spice market," and a sexy-yet-cozy fragrance. The scent does stick around in my hair for the first half of the day, so it's probably not for those who are very sensitive to fragrance.

Results

The shampoo rinses cleanly, but it does leave a slight coating behind (it's not heavy or greasy-feeling though). These products don't make my curls flat or frizzy, and my hair has a very nice piecey-ness to it, as well as some nice bounce, body and shine.

Since I have oily skin, oily roots and side-swept bangs, I'm always afraid that, when I use products for normal-to-dry hair, I won't even be able to make it through 24 hours before I get greasy-bangs-syndrome. I'm happy to report that, because these products don't feel heavy on the hair, I'm able to go a full day and about halfway through the next day before I start to see some slight oil in my bangs.

My preferred method for drying my hair is air-drying, and these products work beautifully that way. I've also used a hair dryer after using these products and they work just as well--especially when I straighten my hair.

I find that both the shampoo and conditioner work extremely well for my particular hair type (I can skip styling products!), and I think that if you aren't looking for extreme hydration (or use a separate deep conditioner for that) and you have any of the same hair issues that I have, you might have luck with these products. For me personally, these products walk that fine line between not hydrating enough and too hydrating. They're perfectly in the middle, which makes my hair very happy.

Can I use this shampoo and conditioner every day?

Suave Moroccan Shampoo and Conditioner Collection is gentle enough for daily use.

Has the formula changed for the Suave Rose Gold?

No, the formulation has not changed. Suave Rose Gold has a new look with the same salon proven quality.

The Suave Moroccan Infusion line offers an affordable option for those seeking shine, hydration, and manageability. If you have hair similar to mine, you’re likely going to love these. For one thing, they’re a total steal & under $4 a piece if not on sale on top of that. I usually pick mine up on sale 2 for $6 at my local drugstores which is an awesome deal! I can honestly say this is my favorite line from the drugstore currently…& for a crazy affordable price that actually works on my hair!
