North Cambridge is set to welcome a new culinary gem: Sheger Cafe and Ethiopian Restaurant. The restaurant has applied for a common victualler license to operate at 2376 Massachusetts Ave., as reported by Boston Restaurant Talk.
SHEGER'S roots come from the heart of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. The aim is to let you experience the Ethiopian way of life, where dining is characterized by sharing food from a common plate, signifying the bonds of loyalty, family, love and friendship.
When it opens, Sheger Cafe will feature approximately a dozen seats inside along with a small patio for outdoor dining.
Management and Location
The proposed manager for Sheger Cafe is Misrak Gandi, who also operates the Misrak Beauty Salon. Notably, the salon is located in the same building as the future restaurant, which will be taking over the space previously occupied by Han A Rum Oriental Market.

The Boston area is experiencing a growth in its Ethiopian food scene. Recently, Malden welcomed Mogogo, a new Ethiopian restaurant.
