Let's delve into the multifaceted career and commercial endeavors of Kenya Moore, showcasing her transition from a beauty queen to a successful businesswoman.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Moore was born on January 24, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan to teenagers Patricia Moore and Ronald Grant and raised by her paternal grandmother Doris Grant and aunt after her mother abandoned her three days after her birth. The reality-TV-show star revealed that her mother never named her.
"Since birth, my mother made the decision at age 16 to pretend she never had me. She has never spoken to me," Kenya wrote. "Even if present in the same room with other people and family, she pretends that I simply don't exist. She pretends I'm invisible," Kenya revealed on her Bravo blog.

Moore graduated from Cass Technical High School in 1989. While still in high school, Moore experienced domestic violence from a much older boyfriend.
Ventures in Film and Production
Moore has also produced and directed various projects and launched her own company, Moore Vision Media in 2008. Moore Vision Media produced the erotic thriller "The Confidant". Moore is credited as producer/director of the film Trapped: Haitian Nights. After the project lost its director, Moore took over the production and completed the film.
Author and Media Personality
On November 28, 2007, Moore published a book titled Game, Get Some!: What Women Really Want. Described as a how-to guide, the book is a self-help and conduct containing relationship advice, as well as the author's personal experiences regarding interpersonal and intimate relationships.
Moore has stated about the book, "No one man can know everything there is to know about women, but with my help, they may just come close; I feel like the female Ms. Hitch! I want to bring us together not apart." The author reviews self-esteem and self-concept issues, offers sexual advice, discusses tips on mending a relationship or the proper way to break up.
In 2012, Moore released her debut single, "Gone With the Wind Fabulous." In 2013, Moore released her own exercise video, named "Kenya Moore: Booty Boot Camp". This venture rivalled former The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Phaedra Parks own workout video and was a primary storyline in the show's fifth season.

Real Housewives of Atlanta and Beyond
Kenya Moore joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta, gaining significant attention. Her presence on the show led to various opportunities, including endorsements and collaborations. Moore's time on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" wasn't without its controversies. For example, on last night's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore was furious with Cynthia Bailey and Fields for working on the model's eyewear line commercial without her- and even accused the Bravo newbie of not having the necessary experience to direct the shoot.
Kenya Moore was a guest on AfterBuzz TV this week. On staying true to yourself on reality TV, Kenya shares, “I think anyone who watches me knows that about me. It may not be the popular thing to say or to do or to behave but I’m always living my own truth. And I don’t back down from, ‘Yeah, I said that’ or ‘Yeah, I did that,’ and I can apologize if I’m wrong.
“You can’t know everything about a person in 45 minutes or in shooting in a four to five month period,” adds Kenya. “That’s kind of impossible. Is it honest? It’s honest at times; at times, it’s not. When you have other people on the show, other castmates, that are being narrators to your story, that is what changes what you actually see.
Kenya Moore Hair Care Line
Kenya Moore launched her own hair care line, Kenya Moore Hair. She is in full boss mode. The hair care mogul is taking her business to the next level by opening her very own hair salon. This doesn’t come without trials and tribulations as she needs a team and the perfect commercial to launch her new venture.

“I had this vision of having this really amazing bathroom - I knew I wanted the white, clean look of marble,” said Moore. “I had all these design ideas and didn’t know how to pull it all together until I met with Granite and TREND Transformations/Granite Transformations. I was blown away by their product selection because I honestly didn’t know these types of products existed in the marketplace. They created stunning digital renderings that perfectly captured the look I was going for.
To create a :60 commercial, you need more than just 60 seconds of footage. When we met up with them in LA to shoot our latest spot for Bravo, our plan was to recreate a scene straight out of their hit show Real Housewives of Atlanta, having Housewife Kenya Moore meet up with Regina Hall for some girl time, only to be interrupted by Kevin Hart. Utilizing a 3 camera setup that had been meticulously practicing all day, we got everything we needed and more, even after only having 1 take with them before they were whisked off again.
Here's a table summarizing Kenya Moore's key commercial ventures:
