After documenting their new relationship on Season 8 of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Kenya Moore and Matt Jordan decided to call it quits and go their separate ways. The pair announced their breakup in a series of cryptic Instagram posts.

The Breakup
According to TMZ, the split happened shortly after Moore and Jordan returned from a trip to Mexico over Memorial Day weekend. Sources told the gossip outlet the couple got into a nasty argument during the trip and it escalated once they were back in Atlanta. It wasn’t revealed what sparked the argument, but TMZ reported that Moore locked herself in her hotel room and Jordan supposedly got mad and “kicked the door in and broke it.” The fitness trainer is also accused of calling Moore a “b----“ and a “c---.”
Sources said Moore and Jordan left Mexico on the same flight, but once they landed in Atlanta Jordan took off with her luggage. The former Miss USA didn’t want to cause a scene, so she hopped into a separate car and headed back to her home. The pair is said to have gotten into another fight when Jordan showed up to her house and dumped her luggage in the driveway. The dispute never got physical, but sources said Moore was tired of the verbal abuse and decided to end the relationship.
On Thursday, Moore took to her Instagram to confirm the breakup, writing that love should never be “aggressive, hurtful, threatening, vindictive or accusatory, nor distrustful.” She added, “Love is never a c--- or a b----. Love is never demeaning or degrading. My love is real. My love is kind. My love is protective. My love elevates not destroys. My love is generous. My love is forgiving. My love is patient. My love is respectful. My love is worthy of the same.” Moore eventually deleted the post.

Jordan also commented on the split, writing on his private Instagram account that he’s to blame for things going downhill. “Looking back I blame myself totally. I learned very late in the relationship that a woman will not trust a man fully if he seems irresponsible or not up to standard in areas of a relationship,” he wrote. “If she doesn’t feel like she can put trust in a man emotionally, spiritually, financially etc. … That will cause a woman to feel resentment and most of all untrusting in her man.” He added, “I was in denial of my flaws until late in the relationship. It causes me to feel untrusting in her because I did not feel like I had her FULL love and attention. I didn’t realize that I created my own circumstances.”
Radar Online reported that Jordan also posted that cheating was not a factor in their breakup. “Just for the record infidelity or cheating was never part of our relationship or one of our problems,” he wrote.
Moore and Jordan started dating last year.

Aftermath and Legal Troubles
Kenya Moore's ex-boyfriend Matt Jordan was arrested in Arizona. Matt allegedly got physical with his current girlfriend, Valerie Bell, in the parking lot of a Denny's in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, July 27, according to the arrest report obtained by TMZ.

A second woman reportedly witnessed this and said Matt then got close to her and took her cigarettes, including one that was in her mouth, and threw them on the roof. Matt had already left the Denny's by the time officers arrived, according to the arrest report, but Valerie called them a few hours later to say that he was at her home in Maricopa, Arizona, where the police eventually arrested him.
Officers say they then discovered a warrant for his arrest stemming from another alleged incident in April, according to court documents. Matt was charged with trespassing, aggravated assault, theft, and threatening/intimidating with damage to property, according to TMZ. He was still in custody as of press time and has a hearing scheduled for this week.
Relationship On-Again, Off-Again

One thing's not up for dispute: Matt certainly has a type.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta chronicled Kenya's relationship with Matt in Seasons 8 and 9. Their whirlwind romance evolved into a tumultuous relationship by Season 9 when Kenya finally decided to break up with Matt for good.
Kenya would go on to marry Marc Daly in June 2017.
