The Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) is a crucial document issued to stranded Nigerians abroad who lack the appropriate immigration status to travel back home. This paper-based certificate allows them to return to Nigeria on a one-way journey.
This consular service is specifically for Nigerian citizens who have lost their passports or, due to unforeseen circumstances, have overstayed their passport/visa validity beyond redemption. After arrival in Nigeria, the ETC must be surrendered to immigration authorities at the port of entry.
Can I travel to Nigeria with my Nigeria expired passport without ETC( emergency travel certificate).
