Chad Michael Murray's Visit to Annapolis Mall: A Heartthrob in Town

Westfield Annapolis hosted popular actor and former model, Chad Michael Murray, for a meet and greet. The event took place on Saturday from 12:30-3pm.

The meet and greet was held in the courtyard outside Lululemon and California Pizza Kitchen.

“As we continue to activate the center with exciting events, special guests, celebrities and authors, we thought Chad Michael Murray would be a fantastic heartthrob to bring to Annapolis. Chad has worked in Hollywood for decades now on some of the most iconic shows and movies. His breadth of work covers so many genres and age groups, we are confident he will have major appeal for our shoppers."

Remembering the buzz around Murray's visit, Westfield Annapolis also hosted Ashby Gentry and Noah LaLonde (aka Alex and Cole from Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys) for a meet and greet in April. Tickets were limited and required for cost control.

Hello Kitty Cafe Truck at Annapolis Mall

Adding to the excitement, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck made a stop at Annapolis Mall on Saturday, August 16 from 10 AM-7 PM (outside Jongro & Rodizio Grill). This visit celebrated the truck's 10th anniversary.

Fans of all ages indulged in adorable Hello Kitty merchandise and yummy treats. This global icon has been spreading smiles for 50 years, starting with a tiny coin purse in 1975. It was suggested to arrive early.

Annapolis Chamber Music Festival

The Annapolis Chamber Music Festival took place August 16-23 at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church for five nights of concerts.

The intimate performances provided the listener an opportunity to hear the pure sound of each instrument within the greater harmony. The result is often a mesmerizing encounter with classical music.

Together in Teal Annual Fundraiser

Together in Teal asked participants to lace up and walk together with fighters, survivors, family members, and supporters, in an effort to bring an end to ovarian cancer. The event included vendors, a Survivor Celebration Tent, and a Mission Tent sharing opportunities for advocacy and support.

The fundraiser took place on September 21 at the Annapolis Mall.

Local Business Scene

The Lovejoy Project, a new shop on Benfield Road specializing in sustainable candles and diffusers celebrated its grand opening with the Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from all The Lovejoy Project’s sales go to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in memory of the owner’s mom, Judith Lovejoy Stewart.

Naptown Philharmonic Orchestra’s New Season

The Naptown Philharmonic Orchestra is planning to cover with its newly announced season, themed American Roots.
