Chad David McHenry Obituary

Chad David McHenry, 47, of Minford, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at SOMC ER. He was born May 23, 1978 in Portsmouth, a son of Dianne Stidham McHenry and the late Michael McHenry.

Chad was a 1996 graduate of Minford High School, a 2001 graduate of Ohio University and a 2004 graduate of Akron School of Law.

He chose to pursue a career in law after completing undergraduate studies. Chad McHenry attended The University of Akron School of Law and graduated in 2004. Chad McHenry passed the bar exam and was admitted to legal practice in 2005.

Chad D. McHenry is an attorney who represents clients in the Portsmouth, Ohio area.

He represents clients with Workers' Compensation issues in Ohio. He also represents clients with Social Security Disability and General Litigation issues.

Chad was a member of the Scioto County Bar Association and President of Minford Youth Soccer League. He loved playing and coaching soccer, and was a proud father and dance dad. Chad loved kids and giving himself and his time to his community. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family; his family meant everything to him.

In addition to his mother, Dianne Stidham McHenry, he is survived by his wife, Sara Coriell McHenry; three children, Walker, Lily, and Cambell McHenry; one brother, Aaron (Cassie) McHenry; one sister, Michelle (Patrick) Warren; mother and father-in-law, Kennie and Susie Coriell; two brothers-in-law, Wes (Linni) Coriell, Wade (Amy) Coriell; five nieces, Marci, Ellie, Gracyn, Hadley, Sydney, and three nephews, Tyler, Brady, Creed.

In addition to his father, Michael McHenry, he was preceded in death by one uncle, Willard Knight, and a nephew, Kenneth Mason Coriell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Dennis Evans officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 Friday prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
