Chad Eric Holden was called home on March 29, 2024, in Converse, Texas, at the age of 43. Born in the small town of Sonora, California, on August 25, 1980, Chad was the son of Bonnie and Tim Holden.

Military Service and Achievements
At the age of 19, Chad joined the Army. He deployed to Vicenza, Italy, where he developed a love for the culture and food. Chad also served as a Medic in Afghanistan, and his last deployment was in Redstone, Arkansas. During his service, Chad worked as a Medic, Medical Records Specialist, and Funeral Detail.

Other Careers and Passions
Chad had several careers, including Soldier, Corporal in the Jail system, and Truck Driver. He went to peace officer school and wanted to join the San Antonio Police Department. However, he loved the road and fell in love with driving a truck. Chad also went to aviation school, but he did not complete his hours.
Chad loved music, especially classic songs; he was an old soul, yet he was very eclectic when it came to music, loving Lady Gaga, Pink, and Katy Perry. Chad loved classic cars, especially his old Impala. He owned a 1979 Chevy Truck that he never wanted to get rid of; he said he had too many great memories with that truck, which he owned since he was 18 years old.
Family and Remembrance
Chad's mother passed away when he was 14 years old, which he missed every day of his life. Chad left behind his wife, Imelda Holden, whom he married on October 19, 2018. Chad had one son, Skylar Z. Holden, his father Tim Holden, and sister Tenaya Holden.

Chad William Owens-Holden (1999-2017)
Chad William Owens-Holden was born May 13, 1999, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Michael Lynn Holden and Renee Mary Lee Owens. He was a lifelong resident of the North English community and a 2017 graduate of English Valleys High School. While in school, Chad was involved in many activities including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, football, basketball, track, construction class, and the drama department. He worked at Freeman Foods and later Casey's in North English.
He enjoyed campfires, fireworks, fishing, hunting, swimming, collecting rocks, and spending time with his friends and cousins. Chad died on Friday, September 22, 2017, in an auto accident at the age of 18 years.
He is survived by his father Michael Holden; grandparents Rick & Kathy Holden; two aunts Nikki Holden and Becci Holden; cousins Haley & Isabella Holden all of North English; an uncle Robert (Effie) Redig of Parnell; a cousin Randy Redig of North Liberty; his mother Renee Owens; and four brothers Ethan Owens, Isaac Graef, Bryan Graef and Tyler Kallander. He was preceded by his great grandparents Ed & Alice Holden and Lawrence & Betty Redig; a cousin Jase Holden; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral Mass was held 10:30 am on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English. Fr. David Wilkening presided. Burial was in the North English Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday from 3-7 pm at Powell Funeral Home, North English. Memorials may be made to the Chad Owens Memorial Fund at White State Bank in South English.
Chad Holden Moses (1973-2022)
Chad Holden Moses, 49, of Tiverton, RI, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2022. Chad bravely fought his battle with colon cancer and was winning the fight.

Chad is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Kristin (Leskowitz) Moses and their children he adored beyond measure: Rylie, 9 and Bodhi, 6. Chad was born, February 12, 1973, in Burlington, VT to the late Roger Tenglund and Kathleen O'Day Moses. Chad grew up in Ticonderoga, NY before moving to Burlington, VT to finish his high school years. Chad is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, OH and served as President of his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega, during his senior year.
After graduating from college, Chad joined the Navy as an officer where he combined his love for cooking and his passion for the Navy to serve as the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff dining room at the Pentagon.
To know Chad is to love him unconditionally. He never met a stranger and his giant laugh was so infectious! Chad was an avid music lover, book enthusiast and cook. He passed his love of the guitar down to Bodhi and passion for reading to Rylie while spoiling all of his friends with his amazing cooking. Chad was also a big advocate for mental health awareness and he lived the motto "Don't give up tomorrow for today".
Visiting hours were held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
