Operating under Live Oak Fabrications LLC, Henry's business specializes in crafting fire pits, barbecue smokers, custom wood heaters, and a variety of other custom metalwork.
The Accidental Beginning
The genesis of Chad Henry Fire Pits was quite serendipitous. Back in 2004, Henry was exploring ways to enhance the security of high school soft drink machines. He constructed a workshop and began producing security cages for these machines, which proved to be remarkably effective.
As the popularity of sugary soft drinks waned, Henry repurposed his workshop to pursue a new venture: building fire pits. The first fire pit was a gift for his mother, and soon after, others expressed interest in owning one as well.
From Hobby to Business
Impressed by his new craft, a friend encouraged Henry to showcase his product at an outdoor goods retail shop in Oak Park, Georgia. The idea quickly gained traction, and the owner of the shop chose to replace his existing product with Henry’s fire pits. This pivotal moment occurred in 2013.
A few years later, Henry and a friend embarked on a road trip with about 16 fire pits loaded onto a trailer, seeking out more retail establishments. "We went around the state of Georgia, and we wound up in six or seven locations that day," Henry recalled.

These days, Chad Henry’s business continues to gain momentum. The company builds patio pits for those who’d rather sit around the fire and traditional pits, plus cooking attachments. And for those who are looking for something more custom, Henry can address those ideas as well.

"We are not one size fits all - we can create pretty much anything you want," he said. "All the customers have to do is bring us the idea and give us something to go on."
