Chad Dukes: Career, Shows, and More

Chad Dukes, born Chad Sisson on December 7, 1978, in Alexandria, Virginia, is a well-known podcaster and former radio personality. He is a native of Burke, Virginia, and a graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School.

Early Career

Dukes began his radio broadcasting career at George Mason University, working for WGMU. He started his professional career in the promotions department at 98.7 WMZQ. Later, he became an intern for The Sports Junkies at WHFS (99.1) in Washington, D.C., where he met Oscar "The Big O" Santana.

The Big O and Dukes Show

Dukes and Santana together created the Big O and Dukes Show, which initially aired at night after Loveline. In June 2006, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to replace The Phil Hendrie Show on KZON. However, their show's run in Arizona ended on June 21, 2007, when KZON switched its format to hip hop, becoming 101.5 JAMZ.

Return to Washington D.C. and Chad Dukes Vs. The World

On July 20, 2009, WJFK-FM switched formats from hot talk to sports talk radio and became 106.7 The Fan DC. From July 2009 until July 2014, Dukes hosted a solo show called Chad Dukes Vs. the World.

Other Ventures

Dukes was also co-host of the short-lived Snack and Soda Show, which aired on Sundays on WJFK from 2007-08. In this program, Dukes and producer Matt Cahill, under the pseudonyms "Snack" and "Soda," critiqued various snack foods and reported on snack food industry news.
