Chad Eugene Craig
Chad Eugene Craig, 48, took his final ride into the sunset October 3, 2023. He was born the son of Carol Elaine Hilbrink and Darwin Lynn Craig on March 27, 1975. He was born and raised in Kansas with his mother and sister, Gypsy Brackney, but later lived in Kentucky where he graduated in 1993. He returned to Kansas where he was employed by DC Taylor Roofing Company. During that time, he traveled to many different states.
In 2000, while traveling to Iowa he met and had a relationship with Rebecca Horak and was blessed with his one and only daughter and love of his life, Cheyenne Autumn Horak, in 2001. He decided at that time to make Cedar Rapids, his lifelong home to be with his daughter, Cheyenne. Chad was employed at Kraft Heinz for the last 13 years where he was a valued employee and a well-loved co-worker by all who worked with him. He was very proud of his job and all the advancements he made at the Heinz Company.
Chad was a loving, caring, understanding and very protective father who imparted valuable life lessons and street smarts, sharing his wisdom with his daughter. He was a father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Chad loved his rat rod, ‘75 Corvette and Harley motorcycle. Chad loved building and making his own creations and projects and remodeling. Chad also loved racing, demos, car shows and just cruising around, enjoying life on his own terms.
Chad is survived by his mother, Carol; daughter, Cheyenne; Sister, Gypsy; niece, Justice; half-sister, Chelsae; uncles, cousins, and many valued friends and co-workers. Chad’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all the people and first responders who came to the aid of Chad in his time of need that night. You are all greatly appreciated. Chad would like to thank all his family, friends, and co-workers for being a part of his beautiful, wild ride through life.

Chad Steven Noffke
Chad S. Noffke of Merrill, Michigan, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was 41 years old. Chad Steven Noffke was born on July 7, 1982, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to his parents, Jean (Schreiber) and Art Conrad and Steven R. Noffke. He was a proud 2003 graduate of Middleville High School. Following graduation, Chad began working at Commercial Tool & Die in Comstock Park, where he learned and gained the knowledge to become a tool and die maker. He later began working at Merrill Tool & Die.
The role of his lifetime, one he treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted father. His children were the love of his life. An avid outdoorsman, Chad’s little piece of heaven was riding his side by side, tinkering in his garage, and just simply being outside. He was selfless man, often putting the needs of others ahead of his own. He loved his family and friends and demonstrated this by helping anyone in need. Chad had an excellent sense of humor, loved joking around, and had an innate ability to make other people laugh. He was truly a priceless and profound spirit and will be missed by all.
Chad will forever be remembered for the love he had for his children and family, for turning laughter into light, and for truly living life to the absolute fullest. Surviving are three children: Brooklyn Noffke of Cedar Springs; Laina Noffke of Merrill; Landen Noffke of Merrill; mother of his children, Megan Noffke of Cedar Springs; parents: Jean (Art) Conrad of Merrill and Steve Noffke of Middleville; two brothers: D.J. Schaub of Irons; Mark (Rebecca) Noffke of Kingsley; three nieces and one nephew: Alyse and Carly Schaub; Brady and Brynn Noffke; a special cousin, Kai Lum of Greenville. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, extended family, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Katie Lum Lax and his grandparents.
Honoring the families wishes, cremation has taken place. Chad was a Gift of Life donor selflessly helping others following his death. Charles Clayborn Edwards III
Charles Clayborn Edwards III “Chad”, of Charlotte NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Chad was born on July 22, 1974 in South Boston VA to Charles C. and Judy M. Edwards and was married to Keely Monroe Edwards. After graduating from Halifax County High School, Chad continued his education, graduating cum laude from the College of William Mary in 1996.
He received a BS in Business Administration majoring in finance and received the Wall Street Journal Award for top finance student and was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Chad interned for J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York and accepted a position as an analyst for Bank of America Securities in Charlotte, NC after graduation. Chad continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill receiving a Master of Business Administration and was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
In New York, he accepted a position and was promoted to vice-president in global leveraged finance. It was during this time that his life was impacted by the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Chad accepted a position with Wells Fargo Securities serving as managing director of leveraged finance and relocated to Charlotte. Chad was a life-long member of Berry Hill Presbyterian Church in South Boston and attended Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. He was an active member of the William & Mary and UNC Alumni Associations.
Chad Jerome Renneke
Chad Renneke, age 42, of Franklin and formerly of Marshall, Minnesota, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at his home. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Browns Valley, Minnesota. Chad Jerome Renneke was born on January 17, 1983, in Marshall, Minnesota. He was raised by his father, Martin Arthur Renneke. Chad attended school in Marshall. He left school early to join the United States Army, but they sent him back to first earn his GED. Once Chad accomplished that, he went on to work for CEEC in Wabasso, Minnesota.

On May 5, 2007, Chad was married to Michele Welu at St. Clotilde Catholic Church in Green Valley. The couple raised three children and following a divorce in 2018, Chad moved to Franklin, Minnesota, to be with his girlfriend of 7 years - Mandy Heibel and his two bonus daughters, Evy and Laney. Chad spent the past six years working at Schweiss Bi-Fold Doors in Hector, Minnesota.
Chad’s enjoyments in life included being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, working on his custom icehouse and enjoying a cold beverage. Chad died on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He reached the age of 42 years, 3 months, and 28 days.
