Anheliger started training in MMA around the age of 19-20, seeking to fill the void left after aging out of hockey. He trains at Champions Creed, focusing on jiu-jitsu, wrestling, kickboxing, and MMA sparring. His training regimen involves intense sessions from 5 pm to 9-10 pm after working a regular 9-5 job. During fight camp, he reduces his workdays to train two to three times a day on his off days.
