Early Life and Background
Annie was born in Ibadan but is originally from Eket in Akwa Ibom State. She moved to Lagos with her mother after the divorce of her parents. She is also from a family of four children; three brothers and herself. After her parents divorced, her mother got a job with Mobil working as a cook to support the family. Thereafter, they moved to Jakande Estate, Lekki, Lagos and later moved to Thomas Estate, also on the Island.
She started working immediately after she graduated from secondary school at age 15. She worked as a sales girl in a boutique and two other places before she got admission to study. She also worked part time as an undergraduate of Computer Science at the Lagos State University when she was 18-years-old. Thereafter, she got admission into the University of Lagos where she bagged a degree in Theatre Arts.
Annie revealed that everything that happened made her stronger and independent as a woman. As the only girl, her mother taught her to do domestic chores. She was almost a tom boy while growing up because of her brothers. Her major heartbreak was when her parents divorced. It affected her so much while she was in secondary school but her mum tried her best to make life meaningful for them.

Career Beginnings
Prior to the start of Annie Macaulay-Idibia's acting career, she competed at the "Queen of All Nations Beauty Pageant" where she placed runner-up. She started acting in 2009, but before then she had featured in minor roles while in the University. After graduation and the birth of her first baby, she got deeply involved in acting. She attended so many auditions after her secondary education and also did some modelling jobs for a while earning as little as N2000. The highest fee she ever earned was N5000 but she wasn’t discouraged. She worked with Dakova and KC Jabari and also did ushering jobs at events.
Her Nollywood career came to the limelight for her role in the movies titled Pleasure and Crime and Blackberry Babes. She was nominated in the "Best Supporting Actress" category at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards.
Relationship with 2face Idibia
Annie Macaulay-Idibia is married to 2face Idibia with whom she has two children. She met her husband Tuface in 1999 and they started dating in 2002. They dated till they got married in 2012. Though, there were times they had differences during courtship but the bond they shared and love for each other took them to the altar.
Annie narrates: “The moment our eyes met at Even Ezra Studios many years ago, I knew you were the one for me and I for you.”
“Innocent is an extraordinary being. It really seems like yesterday, (I can’t believe he is 40 already) he was 24 and I was 15,” she adds.

“And I still see the same man when I look at him. So full of life, so much energy. He is always optimistic about life. He is never afraid of the next day with the little or nothing he had…” she intimates.
She gave birth to her 1st child, a daughter Isabella Idibia, in December 2008 and her second, Olivia Idibia on January 3rd, 2014.
Their relationship over the years faced turbulent times. She was hurt when word got out that, in quick succession, 2Face had gotten two different women pregnant - Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajala. When Pero and Sumbo yet again got pregnant for 2Face once again, that was when 2Face and Annie had their longest break-up which lasted almost a year and a half. Pero has been at loggerheads with Annie for years. Their rift can be traced back to 2015 and 2016 when they both called each other out on social media.
Despite the challenges, their bond has remained strong, and they continue to be an influential couple in the Nigerian entertainment scene.
Other Ventures and Achievements
Annie also owns a beauty salon in Atlanta called "BeOlive Hair Studio".
