Alexander III of Macedon (Ancient Greek: Ἀλέξανδρος), commonly known as Alexander the Great, was a king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon. He succeeded his father Philip II to the throne in 336 BC at the age of 20 and spent most of his ruling years conducting a lengthy military campaign throughout Western Asia, Central Asia, parts of South Asia, and Egypt.

Today we will travel two hours to Alexandria, founded in 331 BCE by namesake Alexander the Great, and arrive just in time for an outdoor seaside lunch at the city’s yacht club.
Following breakfast, our touring today begins with the city’s remarkably modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a striking landmark embellished with carved letters and hieroglyphs from more than 120 different written traditions.

Egypt is a Muslim country and it is important to respect the local customs. It is highly recommended that women do not wear strappy sundresses, short skirts or shorts, low-necked dresses or tops in public places (e.g. offices, souks, town and shopping areas). The most suitable wear in public is covered shoulders and skirts that fall below the knee.
Hotel and local restaurant dining rooms are casual; along the coast and on the cruise ship, lightweight, casual clothing is most practical.
Your sightseeing tours include a moderate amount of walking so please pay particular attention to footwear - bring a pair of comfortable walking shoes with firm arch support.
